amp below the seat or in the trunk?
If you put it under the seat make sure there is at least and inch of space above the amp because amps get very hot when they run and it needs ventilation to cool and run properly. I would suggest the trunk over under the seat for that reason. If you can find a way to run the power wire cleanly then the trunk will be better.
i'd put it in the trunk behind the seats (not below).. so that they have more ventilation and dont heat up and shut out or anything.. i put mine in the trunk behind the seat and used security (1 way) screws.. but im sure if they really want them.. they'll bend the brackets and yank out the screws still.. but yeah.. id put it in the trunk so they have more air space to cool down..
I usually recomend to our customers to put them under the driver seat (provided there's clearance for ventalation) so that it's HARDER to steal. If you bolt it to the floor, they would have to remove your seat to get to the amp. Most theives (around here anyway) won't take the time to pull the seat, but, since hardly anyone locks their trunk pop levers, getting an amp out of the trunk is a peice of cake!!!
I hooked mine up under the passenger seat. ran the pwr down the drivers side, the auto on down the center and the RCAs down the passenger side along with the speaker wires on the passenger side going back to the trunk. Seems to be working good and it dosent overheat. Just have to be careful that your amp dosent hit your seat when you move it back and forth. If thats the case then just mount it in the trunk.
If you want to make it really hard to steal, drive a 2dr and don't believe in rear speakers, bend some aluminum brackets and mount it in the rear quarter panels.

i actually use to have my amps under my front seats.. an interesting little thing happened to me after a party... I was taking home this girl and she was pretty messed up (faded) she passed out and spilled her drink (she was in my passenger seat).. lets just say i had a pretty nice light show... heard kinda a pop.. and drove home the rest of the way w/ no sound (about 1 hr drive)... also under your seats.. when you have passengers in the rear and its raining outside.. you better watch where their feet go.. and that their wet feet dont get all up on ur amp...
and normal times that they dont step on it when getting in and out or riding in the rear.... also watch for clearance issues as your seat/seat rails might scratch the amp... its also harder to adjust if you want to change gain, Xover, etc settings under the seat..
it was mainly cuz that girl blew out my amp.. but mine are behind my rear seats mounted on security screws now... but all these other factors (wet feet, scratch from rails, ppl stepping on my amp, hard to access settings, etc..) made me like it in the trunk better..
