Amp
So i sent a message to power acoustik asking about there rms power and they said this to me No, our amps are not CEA compliant. We choose not to do this because the testing is done at 1,000Hz which is not a frequency that a subwoofer amplifier plays. Why would we spend the money to have an amplifier tested that is not used at the testing frequencies. Additionally, the power from that amp at 1000Hz would be very little when compared to a lower bass frequency…

Seems like they want to lie about their power ratings so they can sell more stuff.
If you read this on crutchfield: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ePHllJ8...ps/cacomp.html they say the testing is done from 20Hz to 20K Hz so the testing must include the lower bass frequencies which tells you that Power Acoustic is trying to hide their true power ratings in order to compete with the better products out there.

Yeah, sounds like you ran into a pretty shady company and now I'm glad you said something. If your looking for a cheap amp try sony xplod. The RMS of the one I had awhile ago was about 350 and the amp was only $170 at the time you can find them on amazon for less than 100 now. I ran the amp for 4 years and sold it with the truck.
