Default Alternator power

Will be installing a 1200 watt amp in 2001 civic lx. I am wondering if the alternater will be stong enough to handle that with two 12' subs rms 500 peak 1500 watts I want ot know before i buy a capacitor. if anyone has any experience help would be appreciated

Make and model of amp?

It takes about 180A to drive a 1500W amp, [peak demand], so question is, is that 1500W RMS or max watts?

Even if it is max watts that would make it about 750W RMS, [just over 100A to drive a 750W RMS amp].

You should be installing a bigger alt. 94

Rockford Fosgate punch 1200.2 peak is 1200
