I have a chance to get a new 12'' Type X subwoofer for $300.... is it worth it? Or are there better subs for that money?

I heard the Type X can be really loud, but sounds really good as well


Or will 2 Type R's sound better? That would be like $230... I want something that can be really loud, but also controlled and tight. Not the kind of bass that makes the car rattle apart

 

havent had a chance to hear the type x yet, but if you are concerned about too much bass, why dont you get 1 type r sub then?

 

id say get the type x and if you have a problem with too much bass turn the sub volume down.
