hey i bought some alpine type s 6.5 for my 96 2 door integra and when i try to installed them they wouldn't fit into that black holder thing on the side of the door where they go onto? do i need a bigger one? cause i cant screw them on, i think the magnet is too big or something, need some help. the car had some aftermarket ones already and when i compared them they were the same siz but different magnet size and mounting location

 

If they are the SPS600 2way coax they have a 2-1/4" mounting depth, [stock is 2"].

You can either install a depth reducer, [1/4" spacer] cut a hole for the speaker magnet in the back of the stock plastic speaker housing, or best bet is to replace the stock plastic speaker housings with custom MDF speaker mounting plates. 94

 

where can i get these custom mdf speaker mounting plates? and yes they are the sps600 2 way coax

 

Custom= you make them yourself, or have a shop make them. 94

 

hmm ok well if i take it to best buy to install them will they be able to make them fit or not?

 

i don't think best buy does custom installs.
