Alpine guru's need your help!!
Allright heres the situation. My 7995 only plays the right channel when listening to CD's or MP3's. When using the aux or radio it plays both the left and right channels. Im guessing that it has something to do with the laser.
Has this happened to anybody else? Are there any easy fixes? I was thinking about opening it up and taking a peak. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

i sell that deck. well did. we ran out. anyway, make sure that all of the settings on the deck are at zero when playing a cd or radio. the settings can change between those sources. also make sure the rem. wire that you used is not the power ant. wire. if not any of these, hold down the function botton and scan through the menu with the band or tracking button and make sure nothing "extra" is on or anything.

If is was the p. antenna wire and he's using an amp, he wouldn't hear any audio at all. If you *are* running an amp though, please let me know. There's a couple more things to look at.
My guess is either the balance is set to the right side on CD, but I don't think it remembers that as a setting it keeps different between radio and CD (as mentioned above, the radio can remember different settings for different sources), or, as is most cases where a whole side goes out, it is infact something in the unit its self. It's something in the CD decoder board area, before the amp & preamp.

Ive checked all the settings (balance and fader), and everything looks normal. I am using 1 four channel amp for interior speakers, and 1 two channel amp for the subs.
