Alpine CDA-7894 Skipping
i did a search and read about CD players skipping and what not over the slightest bumps and most of you guys suggest to get a lense cleaner. well my Alpine CDA-7894 currently skips like crazy even over the littlest bumps. is the cd lense cleaner the only thing that works? is there any thing else i can try to do that you guys can suggest??
I think the problem you are having is beyond just cleaning the lense. If you are still under warranty, pull it out and have it checked out.
its actually not under warrenty anymore. everything on it works fine, its just that for some reason when i hit bumps or bumpy roads it tends to skup the CD thats playing. what could be the worse case senario and how much am i looking to spend to have it fixed??

If your HU does not have a back brace, [so easy to do on a Honda/Acura] then try that first. Nothing will knock a lens out of wack better then a HU with no back brace, letting it bounce around, and all it takes is one good jolt, [ that pothole you didn't see]
