Default ///Alpine 7903 help

Hey guys just picked this up the alpine 7903 just for fun and was wondering if anyone knew the wiring color diagram for it so I can get it to working...so far i only wired up what I knew and got it to power up but nothing else because I wasnt sure on the wire colors like todays modern wire colors a bit different in color so if anyone can help let me know if not thanks

Is this what you are looking for?


Yellow: Constant 12V Power

Red: Switched 12V Ignition Power

Black: Ground

Orange: Dimmer

Blue: Remote and/or Power Antenna turn on

Green/Black: Left Rear +

Green: Left Rear +

Purple/Black: Right Rear -

Purple: Right Rear +

White/Black: Left Front -

White: Left Front +

Grey/Black: Right Front -

Grey: Right Front +

Yeah...BUT my 7903 has some brown wires and not a few if those color...i want to make sure its for the 7903 or close modle...those seem to be on the modern players...the 7903 is old school so colors are different reason i dont know how to hook up eire color for it...so if i plug it i wont mess it up...lmk

Your going to need an amp, the Alpine 7903 is a preamp only unit...

Well i never found the need to own any amp but i do happen to have two mint old school? Alpine 5301? that i found which was in one of my 89 crx that i sold. So will 1 or these work? Just match the wires i take it? Would be the first hooking up with amp..lmk

Alpine 5301? never heard of it, are you sure the model number is correct?

However any amp with RCA inputs can be connected to that HU. 94

My mistake model is Alpine 3501...its some old school amp found in old of my crx that I sold (89?)...will those work? How would I go about it to get the 7903 working??

OK, good little 2x13W RMS amp, [Made In Japan].

Connect the power and ground for the amp connect speaker outputs from the amp to the speakers, gray set is for the right speaker and white set is for the left speaker, the black tracer is the neg.(-) connect the amps control lead to the HUs blue/white lead, plug either the front or rear output RCAs from the HU to the amps input RCAs, your done. 94
