Default Alpine 7894.....

I'm looking at getting a new deck for my 00 Si and decided on the Alpine 7894 - seems like a pretty nice deck. In time I will change out the stock speaker but for now keep them with the aftermarker HU. How much of a sound difference do you think I'll experience?? The stock Si radio seems pretty weak.

Your speakers will come alive. You'll also be able to listen to the speakers louder with less distortion and with better clarity due to the HU's better internal amp.

Hope this helps

Only if you're sending thema distorted signal. Too loud, too much bass, etc...

threw my alpine 7894 away. Nice and everything but I had too many problems with them. First time cd player wouldn't spit out cd. 2nd time same thing and the motorized face went out. So i bought myself a Pionner.

not a 7894...but my alpine has been in since march and I've had no issues...and hella improved sound...with the stock pioneers in my 96 accord...the poweramps in my deck were literally about 10 times cleaner (in terms of THD) than any other deck I looked at in the price range...I'm totally happy and wouldn't ever reccomend or buy anything else

I had a 7894 in my car before. I had it for 4 months, then half the buttons stayed amber (has switchable illumination) even when amber was switched off. You may be able to find a good deal on a used one, but this model has been discontinued for some time now. The replacement (CDA 9813) has similar features, but adds an EQ and reads Windows Media files as well.

I bought one off of ebay nearly a year ago. Perfect, no issues, exept once my sister jammed a CD in it and then I had to turn of the car for it to spit it out, but other than that nothing but perfection. The sub control is awesome, powerful V-drive internal amp. You should have no problems.

I have a the 7894 in my integra. I haven't had one problem yet. 2 of my friends also bought this same deck (our friend works at a warehouse so we got them at cost) and they haven't had any problems.

I've had mine for about 7 months now, and i've had zero problems with it. The MP3 load times is quick and has great features. The time correction feature on the deck is an amazing feature that makes a world of difference. I say go for it, you will not be dissapointed with it. I have a pair of Infinity Kappa 6.5's running of deck power and they get pretty loud. Even with my old stock speakers the deck made a pretty noticable difference, it'll sound much better. Good Luck.
