Default Alarm light

When installing an alarm system. Would displaying the led light that comes with the alarm make someone want to steal the car? I think of it this way one if you have an alarm you probably have something you want to protect and two would that inform that person on being a little extra cautious? Or, does it make someone not want to even hassle with it and go on to the next one?

Default Re: Alarm light

The car is what they want to steal, a flashing alarm LED will not change that.

The LED is a deterrent, a crook is more likely to move on to another car if he knows there is an alarm in the car.

We have shown this many times by installing just the flashing LEDs in cars at seniors home parking lots, [most seniors are on fixed incomes and can not afford alarms] the LEDs have prevented break-ins so well that some homes here will pay to have the LED installed in members cars. 94
