ok i have a 92 Accord that I'll be junking pretty soon. car has too much rust. but it does have a nice alarm system that I want to take out. I did not install it so I dont' know what alarm it is. IT is a python from back in 96 or 97 so yea. It also has the DEI automatic window, where when alarm is set it automatically rolls window up. I want to remove both of these and install the window thing on my DC2.
my question is the window thing which i think is the DEI 530, just a plug and play thing where i can just disconnect it? if i just disconnect it from the brain would the windows still work in a normal way by just the switch. and how does it install into the alarm. Do i have to splice into the window switch?
Thats it for that one.
My other sister has a 95 integra with unknown brand alarm system. The remote does say Prime so i'm guessing thats the brand. i want to turn off the automatic locking thing where it sets teh alarm after a few minutes of inactivity....I do see the valet switch. I can turn the alarm on and off. but dont know how to set that automatic alarm off...thanks

Good luck with the Prime alarm. Its was I think an expediter unit that was manufactured
by Clifford/Avital back in the 90's. I do know that programming was similar for for those units of that era. If you can locate the programing instructions of a Clifford/Avital model
of that design/era you should be okay.

Yes, the 530T should be wired to the window switch, [drivers side master switch] and yes it is wired to the alarm, or the alarm is wired to it, it is not a plug and play, the alarms GWA lead will be connected to the 530T and possibly one of the alarms EXT outputs, [for roll down].
It is also a good bet the 530T is in the drivers door as it is less wiring to install the module in the door then run all the wiring from it into the door.
If you disconnect the alarm from the 530T the windows would continue to work like they do now, if however you just unplug the window module the windows will no longer work, the stock window wiring would need to be reconnected. 94
PS, what is the model of your sisters Prime alarm?
You will need to contact DEI for info on it as install guides are not accessible at the Clifford site.

thanks guy. i guess i will have to go under the dash and take a look at the alarm and see how it is setup. the only thing about the accord is, the carpet is wet cuz of the rust and rain...i really dont want to lay down there ahah....but i'll see what i can do. if its too much work to take the alarm and window module out, i'm just gonna skip it and junk it with the alarm.
i mean the only thing i hate about my sis prime alarm is the autolock which i know can be turned off. but i just dont know how. also the remote only works when you are very near the car. ideally i would want to swap the two alarms. the one from the accord into the integra but i would have to see how everything is wired up. im not an alarm installer but i havce basic knowlege of it so i'll see how everything is set up.

like i said above...i have to see how the alarms are wired up before i try to swap it out. if its not worth it i won't go for it. but if i'm going to junk the accord i might as well just rip it out and leave the windows not working but i might be giving it away to a friend so yea.
but i did get the passive arming disabled...i was able to find the manual for it.
as for both alarms, they both are in an easy place to work...just right under the dash and its visible. whoever installed it before did not do a nice job of hiding it. i'm gonna take another look at it this weekend to see how hard it'll be to swap.
