Default alarm help

Just started today on my alarm installation. I'm pretty sure I hooked up all the wires correctly. The thing is when I listen under the hood, (thats where my siren is) the siren is going off very quietly. I cannot disarm or arm the car because I was thinking that I am missing some wires to make it work. If anyone knows about this, please help me out.

ps. does anyone know what the starter connects to, to the brain?

thanks

Definately sounds like you haven't grounded it properly. Make sure the ground wire is touching bare metal, check all the fuses too
