Your $700 alarm system is WORTHLESS and doesn't work better a $200 Viper alarm. Anyone who know anything about audio/alarm know that all a thief need to do is pop the hood and disconnect the battery and your $700 alarm system is disable. Most people get alarms installed but forget the MOST VALUABLE PIECE, a battery back up. The battery back up will make sure your alarm runs even if the battery is disconnected.
Without one, this gives a thief all night to find the alarm brain and take if off. If anyone of you didn't notice, disconnect the wires to the alarm brain when the siren goes off, start the car, you car WILL START even tough it's not suppose to and even if it has a starter kill/ignition kill. So even if you have a $700 rip off alarm system, it too is still useless if the thief finds the brain of the alarm. No I'm not a car thief, my friend is a alarm/audio installer.
Best bang for the buck, a $200 Viper system will do just the same as a $700 Clifford AG4.

If i am correct, the ag4 comes with a battery back up siren, not battery back up for the alarm system. The siren is held down by two 10mm bolt which every thief have access too......
it really depends where you mount the siren.. don't put in out in the open in an easy to grab location.. also invest in a hood lock.. it'll make popping the hood a bit more of a chore.. if they can't get that damn alarm to turn off within a couple minutes most likely they'll leave..
thats what the hood lock is for.. so they cant get into the engine bay and cut the siren or disconnect the alarm from the battery.. then theres also the autoloc and other devices..
It doesn't mater which alarm you get. They all have life-time warantys (although that doesn't do much good when the company goes under and is bought out by another company that doesn't honor the waranty) It won't matter what features the alarm has if it is not installed right. The choice you need to make is who is the best Installer in your area, and then go with the brand that they carry. Any Alarm is worthless without professional Installation.
