Default 99 accord HU replacement

Is it simple to take out the 99 cd player and replace it with a 01-02 6 disc cd + tape? I assume they are both the same size. Would I need a wire harness or would it be a simple plug and play since they are both honda units? For some reason my 99 headunit doesnt play burned cds, anyone have any idea why?

Thanks
