is it possible to add 2 tweeter speakers on both side of the mirror on a 92 eg hatch? i recently bought the car 3 days ago and notice that there is no speaker beside the mirrors; the speaker are only on the door panel, not on top beside the mirrors. is it possible to replace the side and add new tweeter speakers there? i see there are 2 holes that was drill there but no speakers. any recommendations? thanks.

 

those holes were there because you probably dont stock mirrors, if you have power mirrors there should be enough space to mount it on there. because stock mirrors had a joystick-like thing there to adjust the mirrors. i dont know how to get screws in there, but you'll most likely have to super glue or something. your better off getting tweeters installed next to the door handle.

btw, what is a good set of component speaker? last time i had the alpine type S component and they weren't all that. i bought it for about one hundred dollar without an amp. this time i would like to get grab a good amp that will support 2 front speakers and 2 rear and throw in a 12 inch sub in there (2 sub speakers). is there an amp that will support all that....without having to buy a separate amp for the sub speakers? for example, an amp that has 4 channel ( 2 front and 2 rear) plus a sub or something like that.

 

oh yeah almost forgot. do you know if the speaker are 6 1/2?

 

The speakers are a 6 1/2 and the reason why your componets sounded like crap was that you had no amp and were feeding them a garbage underpowered signal. There not bad speakers. Look into a 5 channel amp that matches your speakers that you play on running and don't under power them.
