Default 92 hatch door speaker size

I'm on the market for new door speakers for my hatch. It's been so long since I got speakers for it I forgot what size they are? For some reason 6.5 is sticking in my head.

Is that right??

Thanks.

I'm looking at the boston acoustics proseries 6.5 for the fronts. I have an alpine cda-7995 but it's not in yet. Right now I just have polk db speakers that are blown and a jvc head unit.

I'm thinking I want to stay with boston for all the speakers, I'm not sure what amp I want to go with. For a while I got out of the stereo thing and was really into performance, but now the car is fast and I want a good stereo system.

Any suggestions on an amp or even subs?

Going with Boston Acoustic Pro Series Components are an excellent choice. Are you going to use them up front and in back? I would power the front speakers with a JL Audio 300/2 which would give them 150wRMS each. And i would keep the rear speakers powered off the head unit.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip!

I'm also looking at a single boston pro 10.5 sub. I want to keep the weight down, so I'm not going really big. I just want some good depth. Any suggestions on the amp for that? I'm not looking to max it out so i don't need anything huge.

I would go with this setup....
Boston Acoustics Pro Series 6.5 System
Boston Acoustics FX6
Boston Acoustics Pro Series 10.5LF
JL Audio 300/2 2-channel amp 150wRMS x 2
JL Audio 500/1 mono amp 500wRMS x 1
If you had this setup along with your Alpine head unit, you would have a nice system that would bump. Let me know what you think!

That looks nice! I like that....

So you are saying run the 6.5s of the 300/2 amp and run the fx6s off the head unit. Obviously the sub will run from the 500/1.

I'm going to start watching ebay for the stuff.... thanks for the tips!

Thats exactly what i am talking about. Only look for BRAND NEW PRODUCTS, nothing used!!! And make sure the peeps your buying from are credible, check your history on eBay.

Will the
Boston Acoustics Pro Series 6.5 System
fit right in the door?

What would need to be done to the door in order for those speakers to fit.

What would be the best way to mount them?
