791xv issue
Ok so I have a 1997 civic ex sedan. When i arm or disarm the car the locks no longer lock/unlock and the siren doesnt chirp. It just started happening today, i dont get what went wrong
Check to make sure all the fuses on the +12 inputs to the 791 are good. Sometimes on fuse powers certain things, another powers the rest.
That or the brain locked up (pull power to reset) or took a dump

numerous common possibilities here..
what does the remote do when you hit the lock button? does it give you the error chirp like it's out of range?
to check for alarm power, first find your valet button. it's a small black button that is usually near the driver's kick panel of fusebox. once you find it, do this..
1. turn key to "ign" position (don't start it)
2. turn key back off
3. push and hold valet button
after a second or two, the siren should chirp and the LED should blink
if it chirps, then the alarm is getting power and the problem lies in the remote or antenna.. if it doesn't chirp, then the alarm isn't getting power (or your valet switch is busted)
