Default 2w900fmr

I have a compustar 2w900fmr on my car and I recently changed my batteries, but since then, everytime I unlock my car, it would ring three times and automatically lock itself after 5 minutes. It never use to do that. It only started doing it when I changed my battery. Anyone know how to fix it? thanks

Your remote is a 2W900FMR, the system is either a 2W900FM-A, [alarm] -S, [remote start] or -AS, [alarm/remote start combo unit].

Three chirps on disarm/unlock would indicate a tripped sensor and re-locking would indicate passive arming, if system has not triggered and programming for active/passive arming was not changed then I would guess "latched" CPU, [scrambled brain].

Try a reboot, disconnect the batt. neg.(-) lead, wait at least 5min. and reconnect, test system.

Let me know what happens, also what unit you have, alarm, starter or combo unit. 94

its the alarm/remote start combo. I did what you said to do and it didnt do it this time. Also, it didnt chirp three times in a row, but once three times in like a 2 minutes and then locks itself. I took the battery out then plugged it back in and its not doing it anymore. thanks. I wonder why it did it before?

You did not connect the batt. up properly, pos.(+) first then neg.(-) cable.
Anytime you disconnect the batt., [for any reason] it should be done that way, or if you just need to cut power, only disconnect the neg.(-).
Getting or giving a boost can also cause problems and must be done properly or severe damage can be done and not just to the alarm, you can take out your ECU/ECM. 94
