Hey what's up? Well here is what I've heard... Metra, is supposed to produce harness kits that make this possible; to use a newer Honda deck in an older Honda vehicle. Basically, Honda stereo harness plugs were the same for a long time, and then I think they changed maybe on the 96-98 body style. Try checking out Metra online, or go to installer.com they have factory radio harness that plugs into the factory radio. From there you take the naked wires from it and splice into the aftermarket radio wiring harness in your other Honda. Hope this helps. Good luck!

easy i did this in my eg along time ago. buy a harness kit for your eg then goto the junkyard and cut the ek radio harness off and connect to two. i only did it cause everything was free.
ITS NOT PLUG n PLAY
ITS NOT PLUG n PLAY
The Metra harness that plugs into a 2000 Civic headunit is P/N 71-1721. The Metra harness that plugs into the 1993 Civic is P/N 70-1720. All Metra harnesses starting with the numbers "70" goes into the car and the harnesses that start with the numbers "71" goes into the factory decks.
Ideally if your factory harness isn't cut off, you'll want both the 71-1721 and the 70-1720 and connect those together color-for-color. Then it'll all be plug and play.
