Default uchinanstyle's *1999 EK9*

Well, I thought I would start a thread about my EK. I have had the car for about 3-4 months now and the car was bone stock, I traveled from Nagasaki-Fukuoka-Yamaguchi-Hiroshima looking at many different EK's and a lot of different prices(took about 4 months to find), this was the cleanest/unmolested one that I could fine and that was within reason for price (yen rate being shitty and all).

Mods:

Cusco Comp S. suspension

That's it. lol

As you can see I'm currently running a set of 15" Volk TE's (for sale) and I have another pair of CE's that I'm planning on painting... more on that in a minute.

I have a set of Sprint Hart CP-035's that I'm currently also trying to sell but until I sell them I have decided to put them on the car...... These bad boys are light as ****, and we all know the te's and ce's are light also, but the Japanese guy that I purchased them from swears they are lighter, who knows for sure, I have not weighed them and don't on plan on doing so. LOL

CP-035 16x7J+42

Going on a set of RE11 tires...... 205-45-16. This will be my first time using the RE11's.

Here some pictures of the interior, while I was cleaning.

I will be putting on the Sprint Harts sometime tomorrow and run them for a while but eventually I plan on painting my set of CE's (16x7J+48) that purchased on Yahoo Auction recently Takata Green. I was going to sell these also but have decided this is where I want to go with my car.

So until then or until someone buys my Sprint Harts, I'm going to roll on them.

Here they are.

And this is how I'm hoping they will turn out when they are done. (found the picture on google image search)

This picture will give you some kind of idea on what they will look like. (google image search)

Know for a engine bay shot.

I will be updating from time to time.

No, the owner before me removed them. I will be replacing them soon, I normally would take off stickers from a car due to me liking a clean look, but on the Type R they should be on and not removed.

Thank You! Nice and clean are my middle name.

I plan on do just simple bolt on's header (spoon) and a nice sounding melo exhaust.

Last night I found a second hand 7 point cage that should be here in the next couple of days. Will post up pictures when I get it.

Does anyone know what size and offset rim I would need to clear spoon calipers?

I was going to leave the engine stock, and just do bolt-ons.

If its not snowing out tomorrow, I'm going to pull out the rear seats and get ready for my cage. Hope it gets here tomorrow.

Thanks for all the compliments.

I agree. If I lived in Japan, I'd have to get one for myself.

Cage makes a huge difference, i run a safety devices 9 point in mine!!

As for the spoon calipers, i used to run these and they cleared OEM wheels with no spacers, but then took 6mm spacer to clear Rega EVO in 15x6.5 ET42

Depends on the wheel, CE28N have massive clearance so shouldn't need spacers

Check my build thread if you like for some inspiration

Yeah, I had posted a comment in your thread, Yours is kinda where I want to go with mine but with my own taste...lol.

Thanks for the help on the spoon caliper fitment. I didn't want to buy rims and have them not work, not a bolt on spacer type of guy.

Thanks everyone. Pictures of the cage will come when it stops raining.
