Just me tho. Props to another awesome build.

haha thanks trav! I dunno about how much stuff I'm gonna start, but I agree that I've used a few things here and there that you don't see that often. I just go with what I like and what I think works.

shut up pecker head. you know people swarm your car. we even got pics from the last ia meet to prove it!

Today I got the front upper control arms, knuckle assemblies, and coilovers on. Tomorrow morning I'm throwing the rear coilovers on and towing the car to the painter.

I've been going back and forth but I'd like to hear some opinions. Leave the door handles black, or color match them white? Part of me says to leave them black and keep everything just like an oem civic cx paint scheme came. Another part of me says white door handles will flow better and look less "cheap". Keep in mind side skirts and lower portion of rear bumper will be staying black. Also, Si and (i think?) Dx hatchbacks came with color matched door handles, although they did have black side moldings to break it up a bit.

I hate black handles, makes the car look more 'base model'. If you don't have keyless entry, and you're constantly sticking a key near the handles, leave em' black!

Why aren't you running a boot with the FLP shifter? I did for mine and it came out nicely, I think.

I thought about it Tony and its hard to say what I would do.

Paint matching them probably would flow with the car better imo.

Most people I've seen paint them so you could leave them black just to be a little different and like you mentioned keep the car with some of the original exterior look.

Decisions, decisions.

I would do black handles, due to your always getting in and out due to this being a dd, and you want it to look like an oem CX. I still cant get over the fact your painting this. **** was mass clean already!!

personally i like when the door handles are left black along with side moldings. It makes it look like the owner cares more and wants to keep the oem aspect of the car. Painting everything to me just seems like the owner just dropped the car off and said paint everything which seems lazy. meh.

Not sure if this helps you Tony, but when my CX was painted they sprayed the handles too. I was going to paint them black, I think it looks a lot better with the CXs. I'm buying a seperate set of handles and painting them black though, so if I get bored with the look I can just swap the handles back to color matched.

Robbie and I were looking at a bunch of EG pictures and we both came to the conclusion that almost all of them look better with the handles painted black ASSUMING you don't have moldings. Which we dont.

Personally i'd leave them black, or do what i'm doing and have bobby paint a set, then pick up another set and landau black em.

Also, i get the same feeling seeing painted door handles as i do fully painted front bumpers with no black grill parts etc.

Thanks for the input so far guys. Keep in mind the car will also have black front lip and carbon fiber mirrors.

It was clean but there's no comparison between fresh paint and 16 year old paint. Plus my bay looked better after the respray than the rest of the car

I like the look and it's a little different so I did it.

I have keyless entry, but even if I didn't I'm super careful so scratching it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah but anyone who knows me or Hondas will know I didn't just drop it off because the grills, bumpers, etc are all painted to precise oem spec. Also, it's not like it looks like a cheapo paintjob because certain trims of the same civic came with painted handles from the factory.

Keep the suggestions coming...
