Racebase N1 EK9 CTR
Thanks.
I wish old mustangs and camaros were available in the UK, the grey import regulations here are pretty slack though.
I've been looking through Yahoo Auctions and found a set of TE37s.

I started having trouble with a dead battery after it had been sitting for a few days, after a few checks it wasn't the alternator and I couldn't find a drain on it either.
So I ordered a new Odyssey PC680 and cable for new earths.

Fitted in the original place, I may move it into the car later but the bay isn't tight so for now it's staying there.

No problems since!

Spent a few hours on it this afternoon taking out the interior panels. No signs of accident damage and the inner arches are looking good.

Some of the alarm wires and sensors were tucked loose behind the plastics so they have been tided into the original loom.
I picked up a set of 205/50/15 Federal 595 RS-R the weekend, I had a pair of Bridgestone RE002 spare but the Federal's are specified trackday tyre and got them for a steal so went for them instead.

Even though it has no PS or Air Con it had the larger 3 belt crank pulley so I picked up a N1 pulley and slightly smaller belt.

I set about fitting it today, a crank pulley holding tool and scaffold pole saved me hassle getting the bolt off.

Old pulley and belt off, ready for the new one.

All back together, I need to move my alarm siren too

Headed down to Mimms Honday Day this weekend, had a great time and looking forward to Japfest next month.
I met up with a few guys on the way and Sean took a few convoy pictures.

These arrived Monday, take a guess what's inside..

They're finally here, I'll get the tyres mounted the weekend.

Got the camera out after work this morning.

Soo happy with how it's looking now!

Although you can see in the last picture that the tyres are catching the rear arches so I haven't been able to drive it hard yet.

I can sell the crank pulley but I'm pretty sure it's the same for all Bseries with P/S & A/C.
It's a cold air feed into the original airbox, it uses the blanking plate found on non A/C EKs.
I moved the alarm siren this afternoon, it was previously in the bay on show and looked out of place.

It had to stay passenger side as the bonnet sensor is in the same loom and is next to the light, although the washer bottle was in the way.

After trying it in a few places and test fitting the bumper back on, I found if fitted to the crash bar it didn't foul and was protected from rain.

I had to extend the loom inside the car but it's now tucked neatly away.

My new wheel and tyre combo were catching the rear arch, I stiffed up the back and raised it slightly but on hard cornering it was still catching.

So I ordered an arch roller and crossed my fingers. It went well with no cracks to the paint and minimal actual flare to the arches.
I didn't fold the lip right back as it wasn't needed and I was super scared about damaging the paint.

Taking my time I was pleased with the finish and it's no longer rubbing when driven hard!

I found a video with some footage of the Civic at Castle Combe, the car recording is an EVO IV. Skip to around 2:30 if you want to go straight to seeing the EK9.
It was such a buzz having so many people watching!
