man replace them bushings. If your gonna race this they will probably last an event or 2 at most. plus the sway bar mounting hole is in the wrong location for those years.


I miss my sol so freakin bad i wish i could afford 2 cars i'd buy a project car

Looking great. Seeing this thread just convinced me to keep my del sol. I was thinking about selling it. Now I see it has more potential than I previously thought.

what bushings? i am going to race and will be replacing basically every bolt and bushing. Which ones were u seeing?

i believe hes refering to the blox lca bushings. they're gonna go to crap after an event or two.

hmm thats wierd i have a few friends that race and love there blox lca's. i will see i guess they werent to bad priced that i dont mind replacing the entire lower control arm if needed. thanks for the info. i keep an eye out on them

steering column and heater box installed




(anyone know if by changing to a manual rack from power steering would the steering column be different at the base, it seems like the rack side is a little smaller but not sure)

a little more! starting to come together and damn there is alot of wirring, im glad honda was smart enough to make everything color coded and they only fit ine plug(i would have been lost!

Look alright.. I did change the whole rear lower arm too if the bushing were bad....

so is this just going to be a street car? if its a race car, why not ditch the heaterbox deal, and keep the weight down on everything?

Yes it's going to be a track car and I will drive it on weekends I've debated the whole in or out since I started and decided on a chili night I would like to be able to have some air. May change my mind later on.

starting on refurbishing my calipers. sanded and grinded smooth ready for paint!
