9 hours of work.
Today we patched up the passenger side rear quarter panel.l Bangeg out rear quarter on driver side. Made a patch for rear quarter driver side. Finished welding the holes from the moldings and also filled the area.

Hey guys we where back to work this week and we have some picture updates.
The passenger side rear quarter is coming along, we had to bring the body line back since it was smashed in and we also patched that area, all the moldings are officially done and we removed the badges from the trunk (welded the holes and then used the appropriate fillers that needed to be used). Here are some pics to track our progress. We are now tackling the pillars and are ready to weld one side, sadly the windshield looks like it has been replaced previously so it was rotted pretty badly...

Hey guys today we banged out the windshield, and found bunch of rot. The previous owner replaced the windshield and didn't decide to do it the correct way.

MUCH MORE WORK TO GO!

Sure, in order to fix your rear quarter panel you first will need to determine whether it is some rust or if it's rot. If there is rot you will need to make a patch out of sheet metal. You will need to trace out the shape you need onto cardboard and then onto the sheet metal. Cut out the patch with tin snips. Put the patch onto the panel and form it properly with a body hammer. After that you can weld the patch onto the panel or glue it with a strong glue, whichever you may prefer. Once that is all done you can then go ahead and apply body filler to the area to blend in the area so that it isn't noticeable, you can sand it down after 15 minutes or so. If it is some rust, you can try grinding it out with a grinder, rice paddy or sand blaster. if that's the case you wont need a patch and could just use a filler to get rid of the small rust holes, body filler (bondo), metal to metal filler. Once you put the filler on you gotta sand it smooth. 80 grit sand paper is good. Now a patch isn't a easy job if you are not experienced in this. Once you either made a patch and what not you can prime it then paint it. Of course there is small detailed steps in between you might want to get a helper. Of course this is cheaper to do it yourself and a fun time. But if you don't have the capability's sometimes you just gotta resort to paying somebody.
Pictures will be up tomorrow of the rotted pillar (now patched and filled, but not nearly done). Also patched a piece in front of rear tire that was rotted out horribly. Progress is coming..just slowlyyyyyyyyyyy! School is coming to a end so it will be difficult to continue this project, but will try.
