UPDATE TIME

After i got the floor and cage painted to match i moved onto the exterior. The car had been in a accident before i bought it and it was bondoed up in the driver side quarter pretty bad. i decided to cut the whole quarter off and put a new one on.

That led to drilling out spot welds and removing the beat up quarter

I was able to drill the quarter off farely quickly so i could prepare all the metal for the new quarter. i got a used quarter panel out of Miami Florida. i cut if off the day it came into my work, and test fit it to the car that night.

Donor quarter panel

Test fit

once i got the quarter were i wanted it i had to patch a small rust hole by the taillight.

After the patch was done i moved on to laying filler by the mass amounts, i decided to basicly skim coat most of my car because im gonna use a straight edge to round and smooth out the body. The aluminum straight edge leaves black marks on the material to show high and low spots. its just blocking from there.

after a couple weeks of sanding i decided it was time to hose on some primer and get her smooth.

Primer of Choice for me.

what she looked like after todays work. i hope to block the primer tomorrow and fix any spots.

UPDATES SOON

Damn man i just skimmed through the entire build, looks sick as hell. Haha, just out of curiosity, how much paint have you sprayed on the entire car, has to be like 3 gallons so far haha. Keep up the good work bro.

Wow once again everyone i apologize for the extremly long wait for updates, a little over 2 years! alot has happened since then too, onto the pictures!

Finally got the car put together,

soon after i picked up some new 16" koniq candys with fresh rubber, the 14's just were mot doing the job!

sadly i have sold this car for funding of my new project in which i will be making a build thread for, its a 98 civic hatch, plans are 99-00 front end conv, k20 swap, shaved and tucked bay, and of course custom paint, these my friends are the last pics of this build thread, thanks to everyone for the support and good words, i hope to out do this build my upcoming ek hatch build!

THE END!!!!
