Passwordhatch 92EgHatch build/paint thread
UPDATE TIME
After i got the floor and cage painted to match i moved onto the exterior. The car had been in a accident before i bought it and it was bondoed up in the driver side quarter pretty bad. i decided to cut the whole quarter off and put a new one on.

That led to drilling out spot welds and removing the beat up quarter

I was able to drill the quarter off farely quickly so i could prepare all the metal for the new quarter. i got a used quarter panel out of Miami Florida. i cut if off the day it came into my work, and test fit it to the car that night.

Donor quarter panel

Test fit

once i got the quarter were i wanted it i had to patch a small rust hole by the taillight.

After the patch was done i moved on to laying filler by the mass amounts, i decided to basicly skim coat most of my car because im gonna use a straight edge to round and smooth out the body. The aluminum straight edge leaves black marks on the material to show high and low spots. its just blocking from there.

after a couple weeks of sanding i decided it was time to hose on some primer and get her smooth.
Primer of Choice for me.

what she looked like after todays work. i hope to block the primer tomorrow and fix any spots.
UPDATES SOON
