Before anyone reads this, know why im building my car. I am not building my car so people will like it, im not building it so i can be all JDM. I am building my car to the point that I am happy with it. comments are ALWAYS welcome as well as thoughts and ideas, constructive criticism is even encouraged! give me ideas and thoughts who knows maybe i'll like that idea better than my own.!! Happy reading.

Alright so i finally got my car to my house. i bought it from a guy down in LA. It has an insane cage in it as is and has been acid dipped so there is no more Honda goo anywhere on the car. It came a color called "blue crush" which im not a huge fan of, too bright for my taste. Im going to re-spray it Laguna seca blue. right now i have just stripped it down to pretty much bare nothing and started sanding the engine bay so i can get it painted and a motor in it asap. here are a few pictures of the madness as is...

you can see in the picture above the steering column is part of the cage itself. there is no power steering, but it really doesn't make much a difference because it is still so easy to turn.

I will update this as i get further with more pictures and explanations, definitely give me any comments or constructive criticism that you may be thinking, i love new ideas and new options..

I remember this car...it belong to a good friend of mine. Used to see it everyday park in the garage. Insane cage I gotta admit, and I agree on the color change as well.

Yeah his name is chris super good guy. Hopefully the paint process will go quick, engine bay will be in primer tomorrow hopefully. The cage is going to go flat black less noticable that way, anything to keep the popo off my back!

I am going to be putting the front half of the interior back in but the back is going to be left stripped out im just going to clean it up and make it look good. oh and im going to just make up some panels to cover the inside of the quarters so it also cleans up the car a bit.

its never a day on the car without some blood! lol

so i am ready for some primer on the engine bay, I decided im just going to do the firewall black that way i dont have to take off the brake lines and all that other stuff. most likely going to just use some rubber undercoating and do the firewall.

saran wrap is definetly your friend when doing engine bays

alright this is mini_EG but im on the girlfriends name since my name is still "trial" so i can only post 5 posts a day....stupid honda tech.

so i got the first couple coats of primer on the bay...

just got to hang out for a while till it drys and see where i need to add more and or throw some bondo on to make it nice and smooth. probably will just skip the bondo unless its absolutely necessary. I hate that stuff anyways.

Well the engine bay should be painted after this weekend and hopefully I'll be able to get started on my interior as well. The cage is going to be flat black with black padding and the interior is going to be smoothed off and painted laguna to match the outside

If I remember tonight I'll get some pictures of the goodies I have laying around the garage for it, goodies include bbk, cf mirrors, cf duckbill wing, finished doors...

no real hurry just have the time to work on it so i figure i will, remember this is what i do for a living so some parts i'll do faster than the average person simply because i've been doin it for the past five years

what do you mean do its job in a collision? i dont follow you on that one. All the cage that is in the passenger part of the car will be padded when its on the street and i'll have 4-point harnesses for each passenger so i dont think i'll be going anywhere in the event of a collision, but i would like to know what you mean!!!
