thanks guys!

damn! the trouble starts! the tranny grinds at 4th and reverse. also a strange noise coming out of this rebuilt tranny. i think the internals was not properly re-installed to specs. shifting from gears is also quite tough

it's really taking much of my time now. i have to pull this thing out hopefully this coming weekend. i just bought a fresh un-opened J1 cable tranny, cleaned it up a bit, replaced the worn oil seals and ready to go. more pix to come

this is the last thing that needs to be fixed. so far the car runs smoother this time, except for the tranny, not like the pervious days, the solid mounts rocks the entire front end of the car

it's a virgin cable type J1 tranny i just bought the other day Joel.
J1 is same gear ratios as S1's. i just have to move the electronic VSS from the S1 that i currently have in the car now.

i also have the LS 92-93 YS1 tranny together with the b. new exedy clutch kit and flywheel but that will be later installed since i plan to have the CTR tranny internals or probably the ITR ones with 4.7FD in it. still don't have enough funds tho. some sort of a franky cable tranny. am currently using the ITR flywheel for now.

very nice build I wish i had the time and skill to do that to my b16, And I have a s1 tranny and the gear ratios are awesome, so if you dont want to go over 120 but you want to be able to get there fast then you got the right ratios, my car will go 135 when topping out every gear.

I dont want to assault you but you look older to me and it makes me happy to see you wrenching on this car profusely. I hope to grow old and have me a nice fun project to keep me busy. I give you mad props man. Your car has come along way and its looking good. BTW, where do you live??? Also, keep up the hard work. I will be starting mine anyday now and once I get started I can't stop.

it's ok man, i knew someone will notice how old i am based on the pix, lol , at least i'm getting older and wiser, hahaha

if i remember it right, i wanted this project long time ago, it was like 1997??? but i never had the funds to do all this specially importing most of the parts as well as the tech knowledge for swaps such as this. but now, i felt like a dream come true. ... where i'm from??? all the way here in Saudi Arabia

and yeah, don't forget to drink your multi-vitamin capsules while doing hard work the whole day. the hot weather in here makes me drink more than 4-liters of cold water/orange juice in a day get yourself some sports drinks as well, it keeps you goin

my best of luck with your project too. put some dedication and you'll reach your goals

Can't wait to see it running and looking how you want it. It's going to be sick.

just an update guys.

my custom half sized rad just won't cut it. some heatwave few days back reaching 52 deg. cel. makes it worst. engine temp rises more than half on my temp guage specially when using my A/C.

i need to cool this thing down before it gets worse. time to go shopping for a better rad setup.

my new PLXM300 WB will arive next week. many thanks to Viren from VSRACING. good guy

also thanks to Chris of xenocron.com still my Ostrich is in back order . i guess i need to fix my rad first before my tuning gadgets arrives. time to go CromePro... in myself-tune-mode
