My Build Thread...
this is kind of a late starting point but there are 2-3 other threads atleast that show how to completely tear down your car.. so for the sake of time i skipped that part
..
a little history on the car: i picked up the car with a blown motor on the first of january this year. i had a jdm d15b and a few random turbo parts laying around that i had collected over time.. ended up with an ugly red faded paint car that was decently quick.. i ran a few 13 second passes and decided i wanted to do a build.. i have an 01 bmw 330 ci as a daily driver so im not in a rush..
before tearing it apart... bone stock 92' cx hatch.. jdm d15b on 10 psi.

firewall before..

during..

and after..

all interior wiring, cables, and pedal assemblies out.. about the only thing left is to take the steering column out before paint.. but for the point of mobility i am going to leave it in for the time being.

car is going to get all of the holes in the engine bay welded wednesday.. then its a lot of grinding and sanding...
i have also started mocking up my brake lines for the tuck.. will keep updates going.
i hate not having a garage anymore

The one upmanship will not fly Braxton, just wait until racing season is over. I will have to go back through mine
Gonna look nice as hell man. Can't wait to see it done.

finally an update:
have been waiting for a while and finally some pieces came in, i ordered a genuine factory interior from honda, some things came in

snaped a few pics this morning. interior is going back in over the next couple of days as i finish the brake lines.
interior is completely undercoated.. as much as i removed from the car, i don't mind the weight, and it cuts down on the noise/vibration on the inside A LOT. everything was removed from the car to do this.. so the wiring harness, steering components, etc are all clean.

back half of the car

wiper assembly plug re-located away from the engine bay

headlight harness ran through the door grommet.

the fuse box location.. i test fit the dash, and its as simple as removing the two screws holding the golve box on to change a fuse if i have any problems.. (just to be safe, all fuses were replaced with brand new fuses to keep from having any problems up front.)

its mounted using stainless hardware with lock washers and lock nuts, and to make sure no moisture gets in the cabin, i used a product called NP-1 to caulk around all of the bolts. It is very sturdy, and i dont think i'll have to worry about it going anywhere.
the prop valve for the brakes is mounted where the airbag unit used to be, but the picture is too dark to see it, will get a more updated pic soon.
thats all for now, will keep the updates coming, should be a little more frequent now
Enjoy

should have some motor pictures up within the next week or so.
going to do pistons/rods, mild build on the head, and a 60-1 turbo.

thanks for all of the positive input, i chose to undercoat the interior instead of color changing it with the car for a few different reasons.. 1) the heat/ac was removed and the car had A LOT of vibration and noise after doing this. the undercoating is also sound deadining so it cuts down on the noise a lot as well 2) the car will be used for teh drag strip as well as looking good, throwing slicks and tools in and out the paint could easily be scratched, but the undercoating is VERY easy to do touchups on. 3) i plan on rocking a full interior at all times so you will rarely see any paint inside of the car.
again thanks for the input
