mmmmmmmm started thinking about different exhaust options for my hatch... plus my mom has demanded that i put a cat back on it because "the exhaust is far to stinky and is making the house smell bad". lol so much for the environment.

any ways i might replace my exhaust when i finish building my motor someday, and if i do so i will most likely be using 2.25" piping with the largest resonator i can find, with custom bent piping with a can like the one pictured below comming out at about a 30* angle. I have always loved the look of ef's with a slanted can.

also, just for ***** and giggles, since no one wants to buy my genuine OBX-R cat back, i might throw it on there to see how it sounds and looks.

I read through this from the beginning . . . what do you think you have into it so far cash wise? I'd like to get something to mess around with that can be had cheap, and it seems like this isn't a bad plan just as long as it's cheaper than messing with my Jeeps.

so i've got this jdm d15b short block laying around... had it for a while, pulled it out of my girlfriends old car (before i knew what it was and all that) so i gotta tear it down and clean some surface rust out of the cylinders... but once that is done i'm going to throw it all back together then put it in this car untill i can get my a6 rebuilt. not including shop fee's for honing it out (that's all it needs, already been hot tanked) i'm looking at just around 400 for parts (all gaskets bearings etc.)

*kicks self in **** i wish i would have gotten them when i had the chance... that is, my j/y had an accord wagon with un touched brakes for like two months, and i passed by it soooooo many times. now i am on the hunt for the legendary 1 7 C L 1 5 V N calipers and t23 or t25 brackets. going to pair those with my ex knuckles and some corrado rotors for a nice 11" brake setup

just got back from the j/y. successfully picked up a pair of 91 legend calipers (the 1 7 C L 1 5 V N calipers i was looking for) and matching t23 brackets. how much did i pay?? 23 bux!! going to take back two rear da calipers i have layin around that are shot to get my core money back, they wont care lol. also took a pic of the hatch i put on. need's a new H after i get it painted. going to stick w the panda scheme. black roof and hatch, probably eventually going to get a carbon fiber hood eventually. and red sides and fenders and pin striping in the trim.

calipers

hatch

yeah i have no MAJOR complaints about my van, tune ups are a bitch and people wont stop hitting me (yes, they hit me, i dont hit **** i'm a good driver... unless i'm sliding sideways on a gravel road and my open diff gets the best of me. it has happened. then i hit bushes. lolz) but i love that thing.

been looking at full wire tucks and brake line tucks... gives me a hard on how clean bays can look!!

which hatch? my old dx one? my g/f paid 700 for it... then i bought it from her mom hardly running for 500... then ended up scrapping it because i didn't know how to fix the frame damage at the time untill after i had cut it into three pieces... i haven't found a rex for her yet to replace her hatch. all i know is that when i do, it's going to be painted pumpkin orange.

edit: wait were you talking about JUST the lift gate? if so it came on the hatch i just talked about. also got all my ac parts, knuckles, axles, jdm d15b, dx doors head lights stock cat back with a good cat and full interior that i put on my other hatch that i no longer own(), filler pieces, si hood and some gas

just figured out a little bit ago that the main body harness on hatch backs is split into two harnesses, front and rear. only one harness for the rear was made, which has all the wires for each trim ran (rear wiper wires and rear speakers to name two). the front was model specific tho. any ways pulled apart the body harness from my old dx (RIP), and with an acception of the rear wiper squirter wire I am going to be able to 100% repin the plugs for the rear wiper into my std's body harness (which is ok because it would have been cut any ways because i have a wire tuck)

here's some pix:

the ends that plug into the multifunction switch:

the ends that plug into the rear half of the body harness and the windo squirter:

the full harness:
