Let's do a muffler tuck.
And it gets covered with carpet.
kind of had to work around the crossmember for support.
wow..i swear, i was looking for some ASR brace and sway combo the other day and i was curious on the clearance with my vibrant box. it already hitting my stock Si sway bar so im sure the 24mm would hit it.
then i thought of the muffler tuck but could not tuck it up too much only cause it wll cause a noisy rattle. i wanted to some what do the cut and welding of the spare tire section flat and tuck the box up.
i come home today and saw this thread, i drop jaws..im very inspired now bro. **** looks **** (not that you can see it
)

Thanks man.
DO IT!
it was a lot of work, but TOTALLY worth it. WAY more room to play with sway bars, get your exhaust where you want it etc. This muffler is 1.5" from the floor, no rattles here. If you're not hauling a spare tire, it's wasted space anyway. and it's worth it to keep "THE MAN" at bay.

i would probably do it..but material and a welder..is what im missing..i hate that the spare tire cover keeps sinking. having it flat like yours would definitely keep things on top.
I see there were 3 or 4 that asked about the engine, I think we forgot to post a pic for ya.
This muffler tuck is Pinkbatmans rex. B20 vtec. made 226/153 on a conservative street tune on 91 octane pump gas. I think with some serious cams it would go 245-250

looks like you coined muffler tuck because I've never seen this done! Great work and superb idea. If i had a crx this would be on top of the to-do list! nice work and awesome outcome!

I'm sorta mixed on whether we'll do this to the our Wagovan. On "THAT" vehicle, I want to see some chrome hanging down out back there.
