Hey looks like my motor complete with the Mugen Valve cover and blue NGK spark wires, although I have the D16y8 motor. Looks nice.

But,

Peeps are going to tell you this should be in the appearance and cosmetic section of the forum. I learned that the hard way.

Oh well nice motor.

I like the overall look of your car. We all have our own opinions apparantly.

I even like the knock off valve cover, cuz I have one too.

thanks everyone, yeah i wish i could find a vc that looked this good that wasn't a knock off. I'll maybe make a custom one later on. I like the aggressiveness of my car, i usually dont like kits either but i like mine the pics dont do it real justice. I'm taking it to get tuned w/ hondata s300 soon and i hope to be running 7.5 lbs of boost so i'll have dyno charts soon.

its mainly a daily driver but i've been to the trrack once with it and i'm going back after i get it tuned and up the boost. I only ran in mid-low 15's b/c of my heavy 17 in rims, and my lack of driving skill w/ the s/c. i'm sure ic ould get into the high 14's now b/c i've been practicing and i've increased the boost by 1.5 lbs of boost.

But dont get this kit for drag go turbo if thats what you want, i got it b/c its an easy instal i could do myself, cheap, and really fun to drive w/ all the low end torque and power for around town driving

No need to justify what you do with your car, you will always catch **** on HT if your car is anything but bone stock with a lip and dropped. Yawn... just roll with the punches and remember that your car is a representation of what YOU like, and not what everyone else prefers. The valve cover is fine, spend money on something that will make a difference like a water\meth injection kit especially since you are non-intercooled.

PS. Why is there an FMU on there if it is tuned?

if you go with an alky kit and raise the boost to 10 psi let me know because i have a set of rc550's that will be right up your alley.

I did..

I drag raced mine on the 1/8 mile and didnt do that well. First of all I had street tires, and the clutch wasn't that good, but, most of the problem was massive torque. I spun wheels for days. I do plan on getting some 13" rims w/slicks, and motor mount inserts to stiffin things up, and then I will give an update.
I did 10.43 on the 1/8 mile. but I really needed slicks. My D16y7
pulled 10.56 @ best so not much overall difference.

On the street would be another story, The Beast takes off like mad. I haven't done a dyno yet but can't wait to see the numbers. It's fun!!

My setup
D16y8 6 p.s.i. JRSC (hopefully 9 p.s.i. eventually)
Chipped P28 on Crome (No FMU)
RC 440's
DC Header w/ 2 1/4" exhaust to my 5 Zigen Fireball can
255 Walbro Fuel pump
Aem filter

Oh ...and the same fake Mugen valve cover Geeeyeah!!

That makes 2 of us. There's no way that car ran anything faster than a mid 13...

10.5 in the 1/8th? jesus, why bother? I'll bet I could get close to that in my hatch, and it's stock except for an ex tranny.

Lets see you do it then! I would even like to race you with your stock hatch.

Believe me when I get slicks, my new setup will kill the old one. I just didnt have traction.

I did quite well with a stocker, it was what I had at the time. My Eta's wern't the best, but my reaction timing was great, and even beat faster cars off the line by 2 car lengths. I did do some weight reduction too.
