Got a few items lined up for the next couple of weeks. I should be picking up a full set of type r struts and lca's this weekend, then I need to pull the FF type 1s off the car and swap them, then sell those and the Skunk2 lca's since I wont have any use for them. I'm due for an oil change again, using Rotella T6. I've ran 5,000 miles with minimum oil loss or burning, so I'll stick with that. My front bumper needs a good cut and polish, and the rest of the car could stand to be loved as well. I have to go through the rest of the suspension and check it over, it needs a tune up, timing kit. So much to do and I'm strapped for the time to do it. Also hoping people stop parking like idiots where I live. I got hit 2 weeks ago and the insurance still hasn't scheduled me with a body shop to fix my quarter panel dent.

Went to see my friend and local importer over the weekend to pick up a set of Type R struts and lcas, and check out the shop while I was there. I didn't take any pictures, but the operation is starting to come together nicely. Went home to install but didn't take any pics during. It sits around an inch higher than the FF type 1s did, but it's so much better in every way.

are you able to restore that milano red at all? or is the paint too far gone? the contrast between the fresh paint and the old paint is crazy lol

I haven't tried yet (because I don't know what I'm doing), but after work slows down and I get my Saturdays back I'm going to give it a try. The only spots I wont be able to save are the roof and right under the glass on the hatch. If not, it'll get a paint job when the body work is done!

I finally met the insurance adjuster to get an estimate done on the quarter panel ! Turns out they were willing to repair everything for me, but I opted for the check so I can do it all myself. Our local shop goes into a ton of detail when it comes to fixing dents like mine, so I'm expecting a decent payout. Enough to cover materials(paint and clear), and labor to fix the dent, remove/install the molding, quarter window, and tail light to repaint the whole panel, along with removing/installing the rear bumper to paint and clear it.

Got a few parts in my cart and ready to order as soon as my check shows up. The rta bushings are being replaced with hardrace, it's getting a full oem tune up and timing set, and I had a few parts set aside by my new best friend at the local importer. Top Fuel intake from a jdm Type R, arm rest eliminator, possibly new sway bars if I get an ASR brace, and a free windshield banner for his company. Tonight brings a brake hose replacement on the left rear, provided I survive the hour trip home with minimal braking power, an oil change, and maybe a new valve cover if I have the time!

The brakes are all back together, but need bled again as the pedal is too soft for my liking. Other than that everything is right on track. I'll be grabbing parts sometime next week and offering up more oem stuff for sale.

I swear I have an update for you guys... tonight's the night I install the newest part and then I'll get pics up. I spent a decent chunk of change on parts after I got my insurance check. Not really sure anybody will be impressed, but I'm very happy with everything!

It's not 100% finished, but I finally got the last part thrown in the bay for the updated pics: my Top Fuel intake, my Type R strut bar, and my newly refinished valve cover! I have added the line between the pcv valve and intake, and the spark plug wire cover isn't going to be blue for very long, but it's done enough to post now.

'm also rocking my dudes windshield decal, gotta rep the man that has been so helpful in sourcing parts for me and others in Central Ohio.

I've also decided to sell my knockoff wheels and get something different. Buddy Club P1 SF in Mag Blue. 15x8 +32, and will probably just run a 205/50/15 until I start adding power.

Got around to painting the spark plug wire cover. I couldn't be bothered to go buy any real paint last night so I used a bit of plastidip for the time being

Swapped out my Password:JDM **** for a Spoon aluminum ****. Not sure how I feel about it yet as it's quite a bit smaller and weighs next to nothing. JHP shipped my wheels yesterday, so they should be in next Thursday, and my tires will be here even earlier. They'll get mounted long enough to go to Import Alliance and then come off for winter.

I got my new wheels test fitted with an old pair of tires I had lying around yesterday. With a 205/50/15 there's just a bit of stretch, not enough to worry about. I can get wider tires next spring. I don't know what happened, but I think the front shocks decided to **** the bed last night, because my ride home was horribly bouncy. Taking suggestions if anybody has any insight into that issue.

My importer is a good dude! He came through for me and is going to find me a new set of shocks for the Teg. In the meantime, I'll go back to my old FF Type 1 coilovers until they arrive.

Decided to swap the Type R suspension out for the old FFs, and got my new tires and wheels ready to be installed later this week. I got a start on some temporary rust repair, hopefully well enough to get me through winter.

I also had my man from JDM Ohio over this weekend. I decided i wasn't going to re-install the Type R suspension again, so I cancelled the search for new fronts. Instead, he brought me some legit EK9 quarter panels to cut up to repair my rotten quarters. Not as good as welding in fresh DC quarters, but it'll work just fine. Thanks Aaron!!

Progress is looking good! Are you planning on respraying the entire car after installing the fresh quarter panels? Just re-read your thread after you mentioned in mine we are on similar track with our cars. You got the same wheels! Different colour :p Quick question, where did you find that spark plug cover? Did you custom make it yourself?

I bought it from a member here, cant remember who it is though.. It would probably be easy enough to make. The plan originally was to respray the whole car in Milano Red just so I didn't have to mess with the door jams or anything, but I'm thinking either Taffeta white or Championship white now. I'd really like to buff it out like yours and see if I can restore some of the color to it.

It's not official yet, but I may have scored a GSR head for $150 and a set of power mirrors. If so, LS/VTEC is the route I'll be taking! I already have a high comp bottom end with ARP rods, so the important stuff is taken care of. Stock LS block, B16A2 pistons, ARP rod bolts, and it just needs an oil pump currently.
