Got_EM1's Mild build thread
Hello everyone I figured after 2 years of owning the car and doing things little by little to it, that now would be a great time for a build thread being that it will look somewhat different this summer. I wasn't expecting to get this car at first being that I owned a 2000 Civic Si before this but unfortunately it was stolen right when I started purchasing parts for it. I am on a budget as far as spending money on the car so don't expect this thread to be filled with a ton of parts in a short amount of time BUT things will be done the right way no shortcuts taken and no shitty or fake parts. Attention to detail is a big thing for me. What you will see right now is mainly cosmetic work and parts, once I purchase my first home I will then focus more on the go fast aspect of the car. Enough talking, time for pictures.
For memories here are a few of my old baby
Here is the new car when I first got it home
So about a month after owning the car I purchased the Gen 1 roof spoiler
Yellow DRL's and Fog Light Bulbs
Then we got trashed with tons of snow...def wasn't motivated to order any parts
Fast forward to some warmer weather I picked up this Apexi WS 2 axle back at a great price I couldn't pass up. I planned to have a custom exhaust welded up for me anyway so I figured this was perfect.
Was kind of dirty as you see so I decided to clean it up and bring it back a bit
After soap and water I wanted more shine out of it so I hit it with polish and got this
Being that Spring was here I caught the mod bug and ordered away. Skunk 2 Springs and Tokico Blue shocks, and Injen SRI
This was the final result
Red Bride Gradient shift boot to make the interior pop a little more
Paired with a limited edition Black Pearl TWM M1 Abrams Shift ****
So after 2 months of riding on the Skunk 2 Springs I was not satisfied with my ride height and wanted to go lower...a lot lower so I came across another great deal on some slightly used BC N+ Coilovers. I did the front first because I did it by myself, the rears were done with the help of my good friend a few days after.
Fronts Done
Rears Done
So we got our first snow of this Winter
Then we got more
And more...
Took the car out because I really had no choice...dragged snow everywhere I went.
Needed these badly.
Unlike last winter, I was motivated to collect parts during the off-season so that I could come out this summer with something nice.
Christmas came early....My gift to myself
Here's what came inside...DGM Promadas...supposed to be the only set in the US in this color/size combo....the only other set are 16's.
During my long trip to work on the shitty turnpike one of my fog lenses cracked from a rock kicked up by a truck..I didn't make it a priority to order new fogs right away so I decided to wait until I came across a good deal on a set of OEM fogs.
Picked these up for $75 bucks...well worth the wait
The Lamin-X was a must
So were HID's for the fogs as well...Ballast mounted
During the install
Completed
Random stuff CTR Hazard Button, CTR Key FOB and a JL Audio W6 Sub...shout outs to my good friends over at Canibeat.com btw
Waiting for the dam snow to go away already
So my Birthday was coming up on the 12th of Feb and my wonderful g/f decided to get me Mugen front and rear lips that I got at an amazing price...if I told you the price you may all cry lol (Thanks Franklin). The front lip is in great condition and the rear lip has a slight crack in it but we will get around to that.
Here is the front lip mocked up
So being that I am not putting the lips on anytime soon due to the weather, one of my best friends decided to help me out and fix the crack in the rear lip for me. We do plan to re paint both lips as well.
The man himself working his magic
The rear lip
Diffuser removed
The crack
Drilled a small hole to stop the crack from spreading as the bumper flexed
Getting everything nice and smooth
Hot and ready to repair some ABS
End of day 1 of the bumper repair
Diffuser test fitted back on...just to see how it fits
Touching up the front a bit before we leave the shop
So this is where the build stands as of right now. I will post pictures as I go on from now on so there wont be anymore updates as massive as this one hopefully. The exhaust still needs to be welded up, the rear lip still has a little way to go before it sees paint and the front lip will be painted once the rear is ready. I have a lot to do before this summer gets here so keep an eye out for new updates soon as I will be purchasing new parts soon. :corona:

Re: Got_EM1's Mild build thread
Some quick updates guys....sorry I have been really busy lately with work and other things. While all of that was going on I was finally able to get the wheels test fitted onto the car and I am very happy with the results. Some slight fender rolling and slight camber will make everything perfect.
Car is dirty due to the unexpected snow...that's "Spring" time for you lol
First these bad boys came in
Then I got these sexy lugs in the mail
I decided to pair the lugs to the wheels just to get an idea of how things would look
I love the way they pair together....Now onto the real stuff
Here is how it looks once I let it down off the jack
That's all for now...once I get a chance to finish the rear lip and order the skirts ill post more updates, in the mean time I will get the fenders rolled and order my camber kit.

Re: Got_EM1's Mild build thread
Just a quick update, I have been so busy with work that I barely have time to do anything to the car but I did manage to roll the rear quarters and throw the wheels on once more. The front still needs to be rolled even with added camber from the BC N+ I still rubbed like hell so once I get my hands on the tool to roll the front I will get it done. I did manage to order my Ingalls Fast Cam bolts though so that should assist a little more with the fitment up front. This weekend I may get around to cutting the plastic fender linings because I dont want to completely remove them as it makes the car look ugly and cheap to me. On to a picture...or two.

I find it hard to believe that you live so close to me and I never see you driving
Wheels look awesome! Can't wait to see the lips with the skirts on there

Re: Got_EM1's Mild build thread
Thanks bro
Lol yea I know man I never see you either but this summer we will definitely get up. Thanks I am probably going to order the side skirts next week so I can paint everything and throw it on the car.
Buy the HID Kit that is suitable for your fog's bulb size, after that its just a plug and play.

Re: Got_EM1's Mild build thread
****UPDATES****
Finally I have some time to post a few updates. Last update I needed to do some minor fender work in order to get the car on the road with the new wheels. Needless to say I got the rear quarters shaved and the fronts rolled slightly and installed the fast cam bolts.
Then through the course of winter I was able to pick up a few more small things that I wanted for myself really.
Installed
New wheel and hub. Now I bought this wheel because I liked the way the color setup is, my car is blue so I figured when looking into the front of the car you see the back of the steering wheel which also has a blue stitching. The interior of the car is black and red, and so is the front of the steering wheel. Win, win? I like it so I guess thats what matters lol.
Front
Backside
Works Bell
A few Mugen goodies
Today I finally got my sides after about a month of waiting from the mother land
Now to get the lips painted, clean up the fenders, install new tires on the Desmond's, and install all the other small stuff. Stay tuned for the completion.

On a budget huh? Seems like a baller budget. I was getting tired of looking at family car SI's but yours is clean and looks right

Very nice build, it came out great. Only thing I'd sugges is a CAI over that short ram, but you are probably worried about water right?
