Why in the world would you put Mobil 1 in a 200k car? Is it because of that guy Exhibit on Pimp Every Ride does it? I will put money down if you switch to synthetic that engine will start leaving spots all over. I could keep going but I am tired.
Werd. If that engine has 200k, then use conventional oil - but thicker - your rings are wearing now and I betcha your compression will be less than optimal. I run 15w40 in mine during these summer months on my beat block so it slows the consumption of oil.
could always use synthetic blend if he wants the synthetic protection, as in the weight of oil, depends on if it leaks or smokes, and there are better oils out there so unless you already have it, dont wast your money

Yes, cover the battery and alternator and anything else electrical. Also, remember that the chemical will do all the work. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then hose it off lightly. No need to pressure wash things.
Awesome find!

Personally I wouldn't use synthetic at all - be it blend or not. You gain nothing on a motor that is already worn.
With that being said I prefer Mobil or Valvoline... The oil doesn't break down as fast as the other oils.

I personally just use 10w-30, the summers are scorching here and winters get nasty too, i don't have any problems with the weight i use. But like others said, depends on how well your motor is running. Having said that, i use nothing but royal purple...i don't personally agree with not using a syn blend. This stuff is super slick, and leaves a film, they say like 400x stronger than conventional oil, making whatever isn't worn out last longer. It's not cheap stuff, but i'd put my car on the line saying it's the best stuff i've ever used, which i used to be a castrol fan, then switched to mobil line, tried a couple different ones, high mileage/blend/conventional. Royal purple any day.
ok thanx every one,,i ended up using 10w-40 just to be sure,.,,, and i used penzoil cause i been using this brand on all my hondas,, exept my built which i use mobile 1... am really suprise with this ef...for being a little motor it has ***** and wow it is complete..this old lady must have loved it...around november am either gonna put a d16z6 or a zc.
