GlassHeadlights Latest Builds EF/DC2/EJ1
Whats up Honda-Tech! I'm all the way up in B.C. Canada! I just wanted to show my latest Honda projects that take up all my time haha.
I built my '90 CRX Si when I was 16. I got it stock, did a A6/Z6 mini-me swap, then did a B18A swap and finished off with a semi-tucked B16 swap. It has Function & Form coilovers, some brake work, ect.

I sold the CRX to my dad at 17 to fund my DC2 GSR project I got for $1800 stock.

PLEASE DONT JUDGE ME ON THE YELLOW WHEELS. I hated yellow on red but the Dunlops made for some fun driving!

After about 3 weeks of owning the car I was taken out by a caviler that blew through a stop sign.

I paid $1800 for the Integra and got $4000 back from insurance, then I bought the car back for $1000. I had a wrecked GSR and a check for $3000 in my hand. Now at 18 I needed a donor car.
The next day I saw this Civic coupe on a local add. It's a 1993 Civic Coupe Si or EX for the American market.
I picked it up for $400 with a "dead" ECU and I had to return the stock exhaust after I drove it home. All complete, all stock, no accidents, drives nice, 368,000 KMS, white on tan interior, 5 speed D16Z6.
It has original paint and for the most part the body is in descent shape, virtually no dents but the rear wheel wells are badly rusted.
I saw the add online, called him up and drove over to his house with a P28 ECU in hand. I plugged in the ECU and no go . After re-arranging the firing order and tuning in the timing she came to life. I asked for the "broken" ECU just in case and my dad and I took it home.
The original ECU wasn't dead. He screwed around with the motor so much it wouldn't run. The firing order was out, timing severely retarded, the cat was plugged (the exhaust manifold got red hot) and the main relay is on its way out. I've been cruising around on his ECU and it's lovin life.

Back to the GSR.

I swapped the rear disc brakes and rear sway bar from the GSR to the Civic.

I took apart the B18C to replace the LMAs and all the gaskets/seals.

I also cleaned the motor and trans.

I painted the yellow rims to a much better color and lowered the coupe.

The tan interior made me want to puke so I took a trip to a local wrecker and spent $250 on goodies!
All four mud flaps in mint shape (just dirty).

A complete black interior swap with my GSR cloth seats (steering wheel has been changed). I chose to leave the rear mostly gutted. I like it.

I also got a pair of Blox adjustable upper control arms in great mechanical shape.

And just recently I picked up an ASR subframe brace with a 24mm rear sway bar and all the hardware for $220. Thats my buddy \/ he owns the Y49 yellow CRX at the top.

Plans for the coupe are:
-Relaible GSR swap
-New gaskets and clutch
-Some bolt-ons (later on)
-Proper coilovers (I'm on eBay springs now)
-New suspension bushings
-GSR cross member swap (it's a bit stiffer and has a closer ratio steering rack)
-1" GSR master cylinder and booster swap
-Enjoy a daily driven GSR Civic Coupe!

So today I finished ordering a Gates Racing timing belt, NGK 7mm plug wires, Exedy Racing Stage 1 Organic clutch, and a billet cam seal. I'm waiting for Total JDM to get their website back up to order a power steering pump...and thats it!
So the motor has been assembled with a new oil pan gasket, both main seals, both cam seals, new PCV valve, new thermostat and gasket, both seals for the VTEC solenoid and a complete valve cover set.
The Gates Racing timing belt, NGK 7mm plug wires, Exedy Racing Stage 1 Organic clutch kit, and billet cam seal will arrive this week...and so will my new header...

Thanks man! This is my biggest project so far. And my fastest Honda so far lol.
D-series is out. Time to clean the bay and install the new x-member.

I swapped the k-members last night. I was worried the GSR one would be tweaked from the crash but it lined up perfect! Note the beefy bar on the GSR unit.

My 1" GSR booster/master cylinder I will be using. I need a flare kit.

My dad picked up these wheel dollies to move cars around in the shop, lo and behold I needed them. It took two dollies on the back and our new "race jack" on the front to spin the car around so I could clean the engine bay.

MY NEW FRIGGIN HEADER CAME!! And so did I
