Re: Freds Rio Red Hatchback
i recently installed my suspension the rears were tokico illuminas with the eibach springs but the springs did not rly make it go to as low as i wanted on the front i put some kyb gr2 struts and it was lowered on some no name coilovers which i got very cheap the ride isnt really bouncy at all, i still have not installed my da9 master cylinder 4040 prop valve and brake booster hopefully next weekend other than that i have been occupied with school and friends ek coupe who blew his engine and another friend purchased a ek hatch with a lsvtec which needed work so i have been helping them.
ill post pics of my hatch tomorrow

Re: Freds Rio Red Hatchback
well i havent updated cause im kinda lazy to but small update:
lowered the car as much as i can with the cheap coilovers rides good and not slammed
started having a clutch regulator problem and then the start switch above the clutch pedal fixed that and my clutch took a **** on me after 132,000 miles so now i have to buy a new clutch

Re: Freds Rio Red Hatchback
i have not updated but i have been working on the car doing some things and getting creative.
si tranny i picked up primed no pictures of the after
benen tow hook replicas made by my dad but out of 1/2inch aluminum
tokico blues i found at the junkyard in great condition
and extended oem top hats made by my dad
a oem mint condition car covered that i thought was for a 4th gen but ended up being for a 3rd gen still worth alot more then for what i picked it up for
and a recent picture of the car i have yet to buff it because i dont have the appropriate tools
and now a questions if anyone could answer to do my 5 speed tranny swap do i need different axles or si hubs?

Re: Freds Rio Red Hatchback
All you need to do your 5 speed swap is the tranny. Your axles will work and so will your hubs. However, if you start making more power (with a swap or whatever) you will need to change out your hubs to DX or Si hubs. (std come with 23 spline hubs while everything else is 26 spline)
