ITS DONE!! :D :D :D
The horrible and expensive experience from Spectre Customs is now finally over. After spending £12,000, which consisted of spending £3000 with Spectre Customs, which 5 months later i got the car back from them unfinished and unsafe! And it blew up after 500 miles. Then blaming it on a tuning company, when after full inspection by myself and my mates, we found that it could be 100s of things that caused it. Was a complete deathtrap, with wrong bolts, wrong parts, broken parts, missing parts etc.
After a month or so, we had to give in and fix it ourselves as I didnt have any receipts or proof of purchase, as it was all mates rates (apparently) and cash in hand jobs. (never do this, no matter if their mates, always get invoices for work and written/signed quotes, especially if you dont know the company well)
3 months later, after waiting for money/parts we get the car finished. But after about another 2 months the car was getting ratty again, because we were still concentrating on fixing major things, like getting the engine running properly etc. So the little bits, like cleaning, tidying up wiring, fabrication etc became not necessary.
Saying that though the car has run perfectly without any problems so far, touch wood
Thinking about going turbo, I took it to Hond-R mainly just to make sure the engine was running perfectly. But as soon as Maz took one look at it, he instantly informed me that its a mess and needs sorted before you turbo it. Knowing that Maz is generally right about everything, as I see him as a Honda guru literally. I took upon his advice and decided to book it into Hond-R to get sorted. Admittedly we did do a lot of bodge jobs to get this car running, and then there are just some areas where we are just not professionals, and it really does show that there is just somethings to leave to the professionals. I'm sure you will agree when you see the pictures
List of stuff that was sorted:
- Smooth & Respray the bay in EBP
- Full wiretuck
- Skunk2 Intake Manifold
- AEM v2 CAI
- Skunk2 Megapower Exhaust System
- SPAL front mounted slimeline radiator fan
- Energy Suspension polybush engine mount inserts
- ITR Stabilzer Mounts
- Skunk2 Proseries Camber Kit Balljoint
- Track Rod Ends
- New Honda OEM Rad hoses
They also added lots of extra stuff like the polished heatsheild manifold plate, that really sets it off, tidied all my HT leads got me all the proper brackets and mounts on. Every bolt in that engine bay pretty much is new!! It's amazing! I am so pleased with the work and I would recommend ANYONE to goto Hond-R, they will really look after you! It took them 5 days to turnaround my car, the car was stripped on the first day, painted on the 2nd day, wiretucked on wednesday/thursday, engine in on thursday and the rest finished on friday and early sat morning.
As for the car itself, it drives like a dream. Even though its the same engine, it feels so much better with the intake manifold and aem v2. And the exhaust is awesome, its loud but not too loud. You hear more of the induction kit tbh! :D I DEFO LOVE VTEC AGAIN!!
So anyway, im gonna stop blabbering. Here it is people, a diary of the last 5 days. Enjoy!
56k Good Luck! lol

Things I need now to finish it off, is a ITR throttle body and cable. As we are currently using the c4 cable, it works but its not "right". Also need to get a b-series rad cos im using a durka durka ebay d-series rad at the moment
