Got the bearings in. Painter is not here today so no test panel. All the tolerances were .0015 or less. Everything bolted up and piston rings clocked. I might order the oil pump on Monday. lower gasket set on the 7th.

Im just going to reuse the oil pump. The clearances are still within sepc of a new pump.

Laid down some filler today. Big milestone but goddamnit i hate sanding and body filler in general. This will be the worst part for me.

I'm not too worried about leaks as I have the opportunity to do everything right from the beginning. My last build only leaked after the head lifted and it was no problem to pinpoint on a pink block lol

Got a few more bits on the head. Hopefully the brake bulkhead fittings will be in tomorrow. One of the bodymen at the shop agreed to help me with the filler work. I offered to pay him to do it but he probably thought it was too much work. He put some small patches of filler down already.

My next purchase will be ARP headstuds followed by the timing belt kit(belt, tensioner, water pump).

Mounted the intake manifold. I had some stainless hardware at the shop so i used them for the intake and exhaust. Replacing the studs with bolts. Gor the bulkhead fittings in the mail. Drilled the holes in the firewall for them. Sprayed the wheel wells with undercoating.

I made a diagram of my harness plug so i can keep track tomorrow of where i put certain wires and where i have to solder the corresponding wire on the other side since it will be mirrored this will help. I made it from an actual photo of the plug, messed with it in paint.net a bit.

Not much time today but a bit of progress on the harness. I need a larger size heat shrink. The stuff i have is too big or too small.
