Default Ef9 dc2 front end conversion

Hey there I have a ef9 and I REALY like the way they look with a dc2 front end. I work at jwsportcars so I know my way around a car but iv never done a front end swap before. So I'm wondering will the dc2 fenders bolt right up or with a little mod or is it full out front clip surgery with welding? Any little tips and advise would be great. Thanks

Requires bodywork. The ED chassis is a lot more blunt and shorter than the DC. Good luck.

I'll be the first to say...to hell with all the "Jdm" bullshit. It's not that everyone on here is only into that crap, you're just not really going to find many people, if any at all, on here that do that kind of stuff. It's just not 1999 anymore. Don't get bent out of shape.

Go buy a DC2 front end, take off you stock front end and get to work. There are no DIY guides to custom bodywork. Sorry

So I could cut the back of the fenders like a inch or something to make them shorter or whatever it takes in that regard. What about the bumper is it the right length or will I have to cut a section out of the middle? And the of course re wire the headlight and turn signals. Or is the a web site or somewhere that can help me so I don't have to ask stupid quations

Lol awesome thanks! I learned the main thing I wanted to Learn and that is it is possible to mount the dc2 front end with out needing to weld in a hole new front clip. But I will get on it and post pics for those who wanna take a trip back to 1999 haha. But I got hook ups at the junk yard so I should be able to get the stuff I need at the price I want before to long. Thanks for the help

You could probably sell your EF9 front end and pay for a shop to do all the work for you. Unless you have an ED and just like throwing around 'EF9' because you think it sounds cool.

I know my way around a car
will the dc2 fenders bolt right up?
lol.

If you attempt a bad looking conversion like this then you are holding your crafting skills over that of the Honda engineers. Being that you dont even know weather the parts are interchangable leads me to believe that the finished product would be subparr. Do your car a favor and dont discrace it by chopping it up and making it into a big bowl of rice. Chip Foose could not make that conversion look good.

1.) If you are asking if it will work you:
- A.) haven't searched enough.
- B.) don't have the knowledge or skill set to do this conversion.
- C.) underestimate how much people actually aren't obsessed with "JDM".
- - C 1.) There are no other parts that match the OEM's quality; JDM parts are a "factory upgrade" from USDM parts.

2.) Search "n00b" as:
- A.) this type of conversion has been done before.
- B.) there are pictures everywhere; here let me help you...

...and it goes on and on and on... Probably hundreds of pictures. Of course it can be done. Do any of these look like bolt on affairs? Of course NOT!!! They splice the new with the old and blend it all. Wow, just wow.

Also, I found your picture on the Internet OP.

Like this? I think NOT!

Here are some more pictures...

This one spells "Class"...

PS - There are plenty more - I was just getting sick to my stomach looking at them...

Looks like the kind of person that could definitely pull this conversion off.

Lmfao! I'd rather rock a body kit than those horribly terrible Integra fronts!

my first hatch had a ek front end. someone backed into my fender and i had to make a new one, it was the back parts of an ed fenders with the front parts of an ek fender spot welded and bondoed. i wouldnt think a dc front would be much different. do what you want. haters gon' hate.

Lol, basically true. I've seen one in person on a hatch, it was different/cool but the front was longer and it didn't look right to me.

if you really need to do it, get to fabbin. none of it will be a bolt on affair, im sure you know that.

my opinion, if you want the dc2 look, get a dc2 shell. dont hack up your car, it will look un proportioned, and in my opinion, kinda ricer... but to each their own, it would probably be fun. but again, ugly.

^ that one? looks like poop. Body lines dont flow at all, looks out of spec, its a direct slap in the face of the 4th gen civic platform. Reminds me of Megan Fox who never needed plastic surgery and got it any way you feel me?

Or this one? I like it the same way I like having the runs. Look at those body panel gaps man!! like Mike Tysons teeth and ****. Looks bunk bro sorry.
