CRX weekend warrior
Hi guys,
Ive been without a project for a few months so I decided to splurge on a running and driving CRX for $1,000. This is going to be my 2nd FWD car, and 2nd Honda period, so Im excited to give it another shot.
My last Civic went from this:
to this:
The theme/ plans for this car are going to be pretty simple: Just a fun JDM-inspired weekend car.
When I picked it up:
It was the guys daily driver until about 4 years ago when he bought a new car, so it's just been sitting all that time. Got to his house, jump started it, bled the brakes and drove it 45 minutes home haha. Purrs like a kitten. Apparently right before he stopped driving it he replaced the motor with a JDM D15b because the original blew the rings. It didn't make any strange noises nor smoked at all, so I was pleased.
Spent a few hours cleaning it today, holy moss. Im happy with how it turned out.
First plans are to replace the carpet with brand new stuff, and install my interior bits I have laying around:

Thanks! I'm excited to clean her up. My friend just told me he's parting out a DA Integra, so I think I'm going to grab the front and rear brakes, booster and proportioning valve from him and pair them with some Stoptech pads and cross drilled rotors. I feel that would dramatically increase stopping.
