thanks. it did have a few runs on the rear panels and doors but its nothing that cant be sanded out. I got a D+ overall on it...=[

small update
got the rest of the panels sanded down and the prepped the molding holes to be shaved.


Im going to be finishing the moldings and looking for some fabric for the door panels today. Anyone know where to get tweed??

theyre not a direct fit, but theyre not completely incapable of fitting? if that makes sense. i had to do a lot of bending to the bolsters on the top portion of the seat. it fits fine now. the bottom section fits pretty snug. at first you would have to slam the doors pretty hard to close em but since then the seat has conformed to fit okay. other than that they sit nice but if youre taller than 5'6 you might be uncomfortable back there since they sit a lot higher.

last update for today:
I used JB weld and some scrap aluminum to back the holes.

one side filled. (no, im not using BONDO
...im just using red hardener ;])

sanded and primed. this door isnt complete yet. ive never shaved holes before so i was just trying to get a feel for it. Plus, i've been working on paint technique and kinda lost my filler skills =X

I will be filling and the rest of the doors and sanding down the front end tomo. thanks for the bumps everyone.

got alot done the past couple days there my friend. the other day it was still green! hahaha. good that you're making some great progress. cant wait for the finishing touches!
