Default Back to the EP!

My lord what a dilemma that was....

I wrecked my 03 ssm EP back in October... and man have I missed it since.. .Between the joy of driving it and the accessibility with my dog and the side detailing business, I really was at a loss....

I've been prone to these seventh gens for quite awhile... starting with a em2 that I had since 04- at which I recently traded in on the new hatch.

The differences between 02-03's and 04-05's made this car feel quite better... stupid little crap that will hopefully help in the future... garnishes. some covers in the bay.. its the little things that count!

I havent done much.. little things to clean it up.. Ill be posting more later this weekend. When I finish putting the suspesion back on....

Here's what my 03 looked like a couple months after I got it...

And now for TAFFY-

something I missed alot...

Nice pick up, looking forward to your build. I was always a fan of your em2.

My frien just got an 04 Ssm ep3, I didn't realize the headlights bulged so far... After all the money I've spent on mine, I finally got a hfp/ctr wing and now I wish it had been my first mod... Lol anyways.

Looks good, I prefer white over silver any day

hey thanks k.......

I didnt notice the head lights bulging until you pointed it out....The wing was one thing I never got to on the old hatch... I'd like to find a hfp for this one... I just want nice fitment.. I think I like SSM a bit more... but taffy's a nice clean color....

or how about an original mugen...

Still stuck on the suspension.. just can not find any time to pop the rear SS's package on... Soon...

got some new shelves in the garage... thought the blue looked nice on wood!

And here's my crazy cattledog...

been slaving over wheel options..and will take opinions.... we all know some volks of any nature would look great... a nice bronze on white... but then again... I love my enkeis....and nt's.. I swear the RPF's saved my life. Once I sell the Rpf's from my old coupe.. I'd like to look around more at the 17inch options from honda and acura... I think Im coming to grips with my self to just settle for a clean, oem civic that will get me from point A to B...

Ive been looking recently at the TL rims- 17x8et45

these more specifically.... wrapped in dunlop goodness.... I also like both the Rmodels the rsx and ep offer- but dont like the offset at all 17x7 et55<- who's got time for that? Not this guy... maybe if we were provided with brembos ya know! I just dont have the beans to be shelling out for the rims I'd llke.... All of which will come down the line... a nice suspension first tho... not that the ss's dont provide me with my needs.. a little lower never hurt!

damn computer took a **** at home and now my camera battery is dead... hopefully next week I can start posting something more relavent...

The couple days of test driving...

With detailing and installing the 02-03 uk tails, I stummbled across some things that could become a problem down the road....Nothing really rusted on the car other than the rear-rebar... This also shows me what dealers dont do when selling a car.. their details are ****... claybared but no wax TYPE **** aint nobody got TIME for that... the tails required a different socket and a shaving...

The 04-05's got this nice covering the the rear wells the 02's didnt have...

And this wretched red pin stripping had to go!

Much better, no more red and no more clean topped tails... --- the front sits a little lower with the SS's on in this pic- I believe 15mm... Hardly noticeable but feeling sooooo much better..

And this nasty bay--- this weekends project is to get all the nasty out.. and put my VC on- I think I may know someone that wants to respray this stock one.... Stupid little bolt on's I had laying around from the wrecked P

I cant stress how much I miss some good rubber.. these bridgestone all-seasons just arent helping the car at all...

and I need that OE lip stat... the ep looks silly with the skirts..all those hips and no smile. I dont think it was necessary to add the skirts to the newer model.. .with out a lip it looks like junk... maybe if they uplifted the front bumper with a better flowing design... the 04-05 7thgens got the revamped bumper which didnt look too bad with just skirts... **** is banannas....

hopefully by this winter.. Ill have some pennies saved up to get the SC and maybe honda-data or viceversa...

i was gonna say something about the pinstripe but i know you knew better lol.. glad to see you back in another homie.. i love the lil bits here and there. as for the wheel options, try to find some TL-S wheels or do like me and Elyson and get some Evo's. when i actually decide to buy wheels i'm leaning towards the buddyclub QF.

anyways, what's next besdes the wheels?

Haha, when it comes down to it I just dont like the Type-s wheels... but hey thats just me.. I could get into the details and find the weight of all the rims... Evo's are sweet and push 10mm out further than acura's wheels... I was talking to a guy in the town over that had black evo's with 245's wrapped around them... I was stupid close to buying them- but couldn't put myself in a hole over rims just yet..

Once I move my rpf's- I'd like to get nt's I think... I always like the look of earthwormjims ep...

my enkei love runs deep---bounced off a tree and are still straight with zero bends zero cracks.. just a scratch... Things Ive learned ... you dont bomb your backroads at night, not even if you know them like the back of your hand... and slamming on the brakes mid turn with a elevation drop is no bueno- ******* deer.... Slow down.. this could of have been my last drive... I gained a good perspective on life after this wreck... I dont look forward to ever eating roman and living bare to replace something I love.. I needed to replace the ep... and feel much better now that I acquired one.. it took some hard work and still will... Pushing to pay this off is my next goal!

Im thinking of getting the hood and bumpers resprayed- along with my Feel's grill- Then off to find more stupid nid bits... I'd like to keep this on route to just having a nice DD- but my buddys tempting me with a k24 block-and I'd like to replace my RSD's with something nice- and would also like to do the jackson sc and some data to play around for awhile if I dont go the 2.4 route.. does anyone else thing the ep's tail happy especailly in the rain?

You have rsd's on a dd? How are they? Been looking at N+ and RSD's but I figure RSD's are too much for a dd?

hmm I could look into it! They did a revamp of both the 7thgens and ep's in 04... money maybe? I never really understood it either... sounds like something interesting to research!

I always just thought that they wanted to build it for as cheap as possible to keep the price down (Nobody would have paid $30k for a Type R over here anyway). I'm still stuck with the 4x100 on my 02 and I absolutely hate the fact that it limits my options for wheels.

The new EP looks great though. Needs a front lip, as the front looks higher than the sides. Taffeta White is always a good colour to start with. Can't wait to see it on new wheels.

(PS : what did you use to paint the letters on your Direzzas ?)
