Well I figure Ive done enough things to my car to warrant a build thread. Plus Ive never made one before so its kind of a milestone for me. This is my 2000 S2000. Purchased one year ago all stock except for K&N filter. it had 38,000mi on it when i got it and was nearly mint. now it has 53,000 and im trying to keep it as clean as possible while upgrading it somewhat and modifying it to suit my tastes. My build is mostly cosmetic but as the car is 13 years old it will be restorative as well, with upgrades here and there. Enjoy!

Soon after I got it



picked up some RPF1 from another s2k owner. 17x9 +45


rolled the fenders


got an ap2 front bumper and mugen replica lip. as well installed koni and ground control


picked up a forbidden mugen ht on black friday


removed the soft top and hardware


cant really see it but wrapped the ht in 3m cf. came out pretty nice. ill probably end up painting the top but this was a good solution that was cheaper than paint


put on some ebc usr rotors and hawk hps pads


today removed the cruise control and modded the bracket


should be getting apr gt3 mirrors in a week or so, and getting the front bumper put back from paint.

this year i want to get a shine rear diffuser, forbidden side diffusers, couple engine bay items, and hks single. this is kind of my dream build, however it is on a budget so im doing things with that in mind. that said i will spend money where i have to.

Beautiful, keep up the good work! S2000 probably my favourite convertible of all time, along with the Ferrari GT California, two beautiful cars!

Love seeing s2k's gettin modded. Would like to see major performance upgrades, however I know thats not in everyones budget, and when you're already starting with a well performing car it's not as plausible. After I finish building my bb4 I plan on boosting an s2000.
Love the stance. Those rpf1s are perfect in those dimensions.

 

thanks ppl. Trust me if I could go all out on this car I would. Turbo may be in the plans down the line, just trying to get it to an appearance that I am happy with and keep it in good shape for now.

got the bumper and lip back on. gotta take it off again and cut down the impact bar because its poking the bumper a little. crappy phone pic, ill get some better shots up. mirrors should be here in a week or two. also prob gonna cut out the little vents in the bumper as they painted them silver lol

Clean&Simple s2k you got ������

 

Any plans to do AP2 headlights? I've never been a fan of mixing and matching ap1/2 parts.

 

 

Not a fan of the mugen lip

but other then that, good start! highly suggest exidium differential collars and axle spacers

probably not, they take a bit of work and i want to keep it all plug and play.

ill look into the collars, and spacers should be coming sometime soon

saturday went to a little show with my buddy and his busa. wing coming this week, hks single hopefully later this month. next is gonna be some forbidden cf sides and shine spoon rear diffuser. eventually want to swap the front lip with a real carbon one and a double side carbon top

its a little slow and pretty much all cosmetic but honestly stock power is fine for now plus turbo is expensive lol
