Default 97 ej6 D16Y7

hey everyone my name is Evan. I've lurked around the forums a lot but just recently decided to make an account. I picked up this car from a guy I worked at Honda with for $1,000. It's a 97 LX with 216K miles on a D16Y7. I eventually want to turbo but won't have the money for awhile because I have an 8 month old son who rules the world, haha. I'm also on a tight budget so most things I have done have been homemade or traded for.

when I first got it.

did some painting under the hood to add some customization.

The blue striped steelies had to go at some point... so i found a guy on craigslist with E30 bottlecaps for sale or trade... luckily he needed a toolbox which I had one to get rid of, so we traded even. Pretty sweet deal, the box cost $120 and the wheels had fresh tires on them... and we traded even.

after new shoes.
and some advance auto LED fogs.

I also did the home depot front and rear lip... but as you see it looks like crap so I took it all off

Then I decided I needed to unsmoke the taillights and make it a little safer for the baby to be in (dad status); and also reverted to factory exhaust because the rumble from being nearly straight piped was a bit much for the little man. I didn't like the amber part of the taillight so I got some transparent VHT spray and made it red. Also got a bit tired of the wheels so i sprayed them black a few days ago.
