Default '93 EG5 Hatch build thread (DIY'n'stuff)

Hi! I'm from Slovenia (Europe) and let's not talk 2 much and let's see some pics'n'progress!

Bought in February 2010, '93 Esi (125HP), never crashed or seriously damaged (confirmed by Honda servise).

Custom interior seat covers must go.

All those weard sideskirts and rear lip must go to. Yes and this EU and SLO stickers to.

'Much' batter!

Front bumper is not OEM but I'll found one soon to fil like a glowe!

Interior needed just a little bit of cleaning and voila! It's not black but it's grey and not damaged.

Some foam still on buit it comes of easy.

Some wear-out but I'll take care of it. Alpine is going under the dash and in this hole I'll mount 3 gauges.

Got mine EG6 seats in mint condition.

Zero perofmance but bent frame look will be just fine.

Finally found my blac EG6 interior and this is moments before I went to pick it up!

A lot of stuff and in great condition.

This tweeter job on panels sucks, but I'll found a solution.

In the middle of work.

Back at home!

NARDI IS HERE!!!

After many situations with hubs, adapters,... I finaly also mounted my Nardi WOOD! Looks AWESOME 2 me!

Oh yes! I've also got mine amber sidemarkers mounted. Looks great!

And...My new old wheels are BACK!
Bought them in 2008 as new from Neweraparts and then sold them 'coz I needed the money! Now my wife surprised me, found them and BOUGHT THEM BACK 4 ME!!! SHE's THE BEST! :bigtrophy: :bigtrophy:
:bigtrophy:

I've got also my old blue externded open end lug nuts! :D As it is 2008 again! :D Not a single scratch, only twice on the road and thats it. Toyo Proxes are still on.

I'm a HAPPY man!!!)

Wiper delete - FINALLY!

Got mine SPOON struts (front and rear tower)!

Ready to polish!

Polish job well done!

Some modifying but notrhing special.

Clean wheels...

I just f* up and turned wheels wrong but it was done properly hour later.

Some engine cleaning BEFORE...

...and AFTER! Well done I must say!

Zero effect but nice touch!

Gauges!

And few pics as it is...

Voila! Carpet is removed and I like the look!

Action...

...some water an zillion dirt spots just jumped out!

...a lot of foam and reaction was instant.

A lot of scrubing...

...and watter produce dark watter!

UAU! Carpet resurrection!

When it was dry I made some test...

...and first half was done! Better than new. Soft and mate black. I'll ad two layers!

And some pics from yesterday!

VOILA! Over and out witj the carpet!

I've already got mine custom made floor mats, but I'll put some nice pics later, when I get my used OEM black min cond. armrest!

Some progress!

Licence plate tilter!

Found and bought in mint condition from Croatia.

Aspec stainless steel muffler!

Dry CF whale intake! Sweet sound and ESi engione is clapping!

And one random photo!

Som pics just for fun and joy!

Finally I found two right Recaro seats so both are in practically mint condition.

On way to home. On beside, one behind me.

Ready to be cleaned.

I've gor a lot of help from my son Tomi. :D

Rails are cleaned and like a new.

Cleaned just with Wurth foam... GREAT RESULT but you can't see it 'coz of light - it's 1 in the morning.

VOILA! On the daylight... PERFECT. Few touch ups and ready to be mounted.

Ready for easy ride!

Finally rear glass hook delete and OEM Civic ESi stickers.

And some 'map' of my work till now.

not enough talking !! haha.

What did you use to dye your carpet??? honda has plastic fibers so most dyes dont stick well and rub off easily.

Back!

My last ride was ITR. A lot has been done to make her almost mint.

My 3th set came with the ride... Can't stand them anymore!

Stickers made by me!

Winter setup...

But that's not it. Had EG and can't beat the feeling so it was sold in less than a year.

ITR is history so I'm back on old dope!

Well... ITR was ok but when I seat in EG... I'm alive and It's BEST BANG 4 A BUCK! :bang:

Looking for A/C...

It's coolest!

I Heart Fake Wheels! Well... I have two kids so no € for real s**t at the moment. But it genuine Rota!

It IS a killah combo pack and still not shown all what came with the ride!

Pics are bit crappy 'coz I took them with my mobile. Anyway.

The roof was in pretty bad shape so I change that. Bad part is there was no grey fabric on stock so till the next season I'll have black one "alcantara look".

All down...

...and cleaned up with Wurth Active clean foam.

Cleaned up with alcohol.

Cleaned roof.

Final look.

Old Monte Carlo is going to get new leather cover + red stitch.
Extra horn button will get custom 3D sticker - PowerPig designs!

New Momo Tuner in the meantime...

Some stickers.

Yes! Floor mats had to go!

Finally... EuroR recaros are in! DC2 Recaros? Get a f* out! Sick of those seats - was my 4th set!
Sliders was modified (front height is stock, rear end is 2 cm lower) so the sitting position is just perfect!

Fog lights - nice touch!

Random pic and now it's time to go on winter setup wheels.

DILEMA!
No luck with Google to found EG Hatch on 7.0x15" BBS RM wheels so I'm not sure what to do.

I have Rota Grid 7.0x16"

I found restored BBS RM 010 7.0x15"

What do U think guys? Keep 16" or go to 15" I just love BBS wheels but no luck with pics to actualy see EG Hatch on 15" RM!

TNX!

America?! You have tonse of top notch stores, great prices, small shipping rates within 48 States, cheap to sky highr price/quality products,... I'm from Europe. If I want to order something for ex. $40 the shipping is $100 then there is tax, customs,... And on the end the f* product for 40 is like 150.
We have some cool stuff but not even near as you have in US. Meka for H tuners and JDM stylers.
