714DC4's 99 Hatch Build Thread
Hey whats up guys and gals, my name is Chris and this is the start of my hatch build. Its probably going to be a while before its all done but it will be nice to track the progress on here. Hope you guys enjoy.
A litte background on me
------------------------
Ive been into Honda's for some time now and but have never fully completed any of my previous builds. I've owned a 89 Civic hatch Standard model (dohc zc swapped), 94 Civic hatch DX (stolen and rebuilt) and 01 Acura Integra LS (wrecked it). I have either sold or wrecked my previous cars. My latest project/daily car is a 1999 Civic Hatchack DX, purchased from a dealership bone stock about 3 years ago, wish I had pics to post of it.
I work for a Honda dealership now so hopefully this will help speed up the build process.
My plan to swap it (LS or GSR), bar it, repaint it (not sure on color yet) and just fix it up to the way I want it to be done and dont really car if anyone agrees with what I put on it. This is going to be my daily driver and I have to be happy with the way it looks.
Onto the pics of my car and current mod list:

I do eventually want to take the car to the track so I will work on the suspension. A mild wire tuck will happen, with the help of "geneeunit". So its a work in progress and will post updates and pics when I can.
Almost forgot the pics...

Damn, that steering wheel is sexy.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it at and for how much?
Definitely looking forward to seeing the end product!

I bought the steering wheel from Super Autobacs before it closed. I used to work there and hid it til the day we closed the doors and I picked it up. I think I paid close to $400 for it and it was brand spankin new.

***UPDATE***
Very sad up date to post....I rear ended a brand new Infiniti M35S on friday on the way to work. My CTR headlights are both done, need a new hood, grill, passenger side fender and complete radiator support.
On the plus side...nothing else on the car was damaged and everything is repairable. My fog lights and intersection lights made it thru the accident with out a scratch.
Currently waiting to for the insurance appraiser to come look at the car and figure out what will happen. Will post up what happens after the insurance looks at it.
I will post up pictures in the next couple days.
