My name is Sam and this is my first ever Honda.. I'm new here and I'm typically a vw kinda guy so let's see what the hype is all about...

First off here's my non honda project .. a 1983 LHD Mexican import VW beetle




This is my garage that I'm converting into a detailing bay during the COVID 19 period

I recently picked up my 2008 FN2 with just over 100k miles and a tonne of service history...



I've got big plans for this car so hopefully you guys will enjoy the build!

 

Please share progress on both cars! How can one not like a Beetle? And like most great Hondas, we never got the FN2 in the States, so I'm interested to see what that's like under the skin.

Did a bit on the outside to start ...

Filth


So much dirt and contamination on the body from months of neglect previously.

I intend on ordering some anodised nuts shortly

Wheel arches were a mess





Time to clean the barrels and back of spokes properly



I absolutely love using iron out





Gave the car a good snow foam pre wash


After a couple of applications of snow foam and pressure washed down it was time for a proper wash using two bucket method and grit guards.







This was after a brief few passes over the rear quarter

Thanks mate! Im just converting it to a bit of a detailing bay at the min. I've ordered a hand full of samsung LED strip lights and the resin floor is being sorted too.
