So I finally got to retire the hatch for this season today. I got real lucky that we havent had any bad weather here in NY yet. today it was 72 degrees out and had some crazy *** thunder and lightning storms... f'in crazy. anyway, ive got a bunch of plans for the hatch over this winter, lots of interior/chassis/bay paint, bottom end rebuild, full wire tuck and lots more.
i was able to get a little done tonight, picked up an Autopower roll bar for 120 bucks
off B18CJDMGSR
but it needs some major cleaning up. the extra cross bar was welded on kinda shitty, strong but slag everywhere so i decided to start cleanin it up.
BEFORE

AFTER (not done yet)

me and Knappster also did a little winterizing on his hatch
out with the new and in with the old....

BEEFY

dont mind the dirtiness.... its been a week of straight RAIN

i know its kinda boring but im bored and was excited to get the thread up and running... hopefully ill be able to get alot more done by monday

no no the only tracking ill be doing around here is HPDE's and possibly time attack through NASA. neither requires a cage. i just got it so i car run my harnesses over it when i get them... and for a little bit of chassis stiffening

got some more done on the rollbar last night, finished cleaning up the welds with the cutoff wheel, dremel, and sandpaper, then sanded the rest of it to get it ready for paint

Longnecks FTW!

then this morning i brought it inside for a nice grey coat of paint

gonna start rippin out the interior of the hatch today and mock up the rollbar
also might get the engine out tonight
