Default Building a header, what size piping for runners?

I'm in the process of getting materials together to build a header. This is going on a B16A, all stock. Also, since I will be utilizing stock internals, so would stepping help out?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

i dont think you will need to step that small of a motor...

1 5/8 all the way back to the collector 27-30" long... and a 2 1/4 collector ..

or Tri-y

1 5/8 primaries 24" long, 1 3/4 secondary 10", 2" collector transitioned to 2 1/4

hope that helps... good luck

What about tube size for a 1.8? or 2.0?

so you don't think I should go with a 2.5" collector?

And out of the 4-1 and 4-2-1 designs that you listed, which would make more power? I've seen the dynos of DC carb headers on B16s, and the 4-1 made more power throughout most of the time, contrary to what most people believe to be.

More advice please from those who have built there own header.
