My car, 1997 civic dx coupe, was wrecked about a month or two ago. From that time I have had a the check engine light on. I took it to autozone and got the code, P1298. I found that P1298 is ELD circuit high voltage. Also the speedometer bounces around like crazy, and the lights dim in and out for about the first 5-10 minutes of driving, and then the lights stop flickering.
My question is what and where exactly is the ELD, and would replacing it fix the problems I am having? Also, what makes an ELD go out?
